Cheap Eats Near Palmer House

Really reasonable? You can't miss it, Beef and Brandy--it is just about right next door on Wabash, I think. It is right next door. It is so reasonable, American faire-everything from omelettes to steaks and excellent drinks, tropical as well. It is classic, elegant, and friendly. You can sit for a couple hours, you never feel rushed.

Hamburgers

Nothing beats Moody's, get the BlueBurger and Hackneys, not without the onion rings.

where to eat on Argyle

I agree, Tank isn't what it was when it first opened, I was there a couple of weeks ago with some co-workers, one was even Vietnamese, staff was kind of rude and only spoke to the Vietnamese guy at our table. The seafood soup was incredible, though.

...And the worst restaurant in Chicago is....

I have only been there once, but the BBQ brisket was tremendous--the sauce was smoky and sweet the meat was fork tender.

Best Jewish Deli in Chicago?

Omigosh, yes--except you can't eat there, don't even think of asking for swiss on your corned beef sandwich, though or you will get really dirty looks. My folks live in the suburbs and I am bringing some Romanian there tomorrow.

I'm actually not sure the name of it but it is easy to find, although it looks really bizarre, they have the best noodle soups. It is the place on the north side of the street with the ducks hanging in the window. For like 5.50 you get this huge bowl of soup with sliced duck or whatever you want and chicken and lots of noodles. You'll be amazed and not diappointed.
