bit of a let down after reading the postings here. My DH took me there for my birthday tonite.
I had the halibut and it was dried out. The rice and accompaniments were nice but couldn't cover for the dried out fish. My husband had the pork loin and found it somewhat tasteless, although his accompaniments were above average too. We shared a first of Warm Flatbread with Sheep’s Milk Ricotta which we both enjoyed. Dessert was a panna cotta for him and a selection of three cheeses for me. These were excellent and partnered well with our wine--a Riesling that was quite nice. the whole was topped off with two expressos which were decent but on the whole not a memorable experience based solely on the food.

Shredded Swiss Cheese
Why would shredded swiss suddenly disappear when a host of other shredded varieties are offered, sometimes in duplicates?
Loose Spices
So Patel only has packaged spices (BIG packages). But I also went exploring (I was home from work) and checked out MOM's which was a great discovery. I did find one of the spices I was looking for, they were out of the other. I'll keep looking for other places. Thanks for the suggestions.
Loose Spices
Anyone know where I can find loose, that is, unpackaged spices?
I like to buy small quantities of things such as corianders seeds but can no longer find a supplier. There used to be an Iranian store in Bethesda that sold certain things but it no longer exists and I can find a replacement. Anyone know?
Espresso pods
So i've just bought my husband an espresso maker, and I wanted to get him some coffee pods to go with it, but I haven't seen any around. Could someone suggest a good location where I might find them and perhaps also a good selection. thanks
Central
Has anyone been to Michel Richard's Central recently? How is it holding up? Any recommendations? I'm considering going for a birthday but don't want to make a mistake. Would I be better off elsewhere?
French Nougat
Rodman's has nougats, sometimes French, more often Spanish, but generally quite nice.
Wolf Trap
Anyone have any recommendations for a picnic in the rain on the lawn? I have tickets for Saturday night, is it possible to set up an umbrella?
New wine bar on Wisconsin?
Tried it yesterday. Nice setting -- had a flight wich is 3 half glasses of different domestics. Wines were interesting but cheeses were refrigerator cold and disappointing
Shredded Swiss Cheese
Why has it suddenly disappeared from the grocer's shelf? Its availability, although not necessarily always of the finest quality, made the cooking of certain items much faster.
I can't find it anywhere.
Rockville Chinese
Ended up not making it out anyhow, but thanks for the replies, I'll be able to give them a try on another occasion. I am familiar with Far East but thought it had gone down hill more recently. Have not tried the others.
Rockville Chinese
OK. need to do Chinese TONITE, finding confusing info on past entries. What was described as good is later amended because of change of ownership.. At this time (tonight) what is a decent mchinese restaurant? Thanks
Seafood

Best pizza in lower Mont. Co
Vince & Dominic's on Auto Park Ave in back of Montgomery Mall. Good old fashioned pizza. Not deep dish, but not thin crust either
