Tried the kung pao chicken for lunch at Wu Liang Ye, the food was spicy and chicken was tender, good spot. It has quite the following. Thanks.

Midtown Restaurant Recommendations

I am staying on 45th street between sixth and seventh avenue for the next couple weeks and was hoping to get recommendations on moderately priced restaurants within walking distance. Ethnic restaurants such as Indian, Thai, South Pacific are fine. I eat just about anything.

Any recs would be most appreciated! Thank you.

Any decent lunch spots near south (way south) Chicago?

I just moved here and am working on a project on W 115th Street between South Cicero Avenue and South Pulaski Road. Are there any decent lunch spots in this area? I eat just about anything as long as it is not fried or a fast food chain.

Thanks

Lunch spots in Westminster & Arvada

Tried Pho Duy today, quite yummy! What an amazing little strip mall. I am going back tomorrow to try the other Pho restaurant or maybe Golden Bowl. I found a good sandwich shop called Enrico's at 8020 Chase Drive in Arvada - very small, but at least it gives me more lunch options. Thanks for the recs, good job.

Lunch spots in Westminster & Arvada

Well my work is spread among several assets hence why I left the area pretty open. The assets I manage are between Wadsworth and Sheridan on 78th and 92nd Avenue. Thanks.

Fuel cafe Denver and Hush dinners

Sounds like your experience was alot better than mine. I tried it on Saturday night and my grouper was overcooked and spinach oversalted. However, the burrata and cauliflower appetizers were very tasty and seasoned to perfection.

Where to buy Syrian bread in Bay Area?

That market seems to be worth checking out though. I will keep searching...Thanks.

Where to buy Syrian bread in Bay Area?

I am looking for Syrian bread, the type made in wood burning stove. Any recs? Thanks in advance.

Restaurants Nob Hill and Russian HIll

I just moved here and am hosting a training session for 12 employees in the first week of January. Are there any restaurants in the Nob Hill/Russian Hill area where I can take a group of 12, limit is $30 per person.

Also, if there are any great sandwich places that deliver for lunch that would be most appreciated. I have been here one week and am loving SF! Thanks.

Miami Hound Moving - Food recs based on neighborhoods.

Thanks for all the posts and recs. I am soooooooooooooooo excited! Bye bye oceanview and beach.

Miami Hound Moving - Food recs based on neighborhoods.

I am going to visit this weekend & am planning to eat at A16 & Dosa. I will be staying in Pacific Heights, any other places in this area worth looking at?

Also, if you could choose your dream neighborhood to live in based on restaurant selection, where would you live? Marina District, Pacific Heights, SOMA area or?

Thanks in advance & am so excited to be moving soon...

River North/Fulton District Recs?

I am spending a long weekend in Chicago & am staying on the corner of North Canal Street & West Fulton Street. So far I am planning to go to the following:
Avec for dinner
Blackbird for lunch
Urbanbelly for dinner
Flo for brunch
Jerry's because I crave their sandwiches

Are there any worthy bakeries or breakfast/brunch places that I can walk to in the morning in the above area? I am hoping to return to Hot Chocolate, Mindy's desserts are to die for. And yes this trip is all about eating!

Thanks

Any Recs near West Hollywood?

You both have given me some great ideas. As to what I like on an eating trip. I like to try food that I may not find where I live. For instance Miami is not known for great sushi or Mexican. And LA like Miami is probably filled with restaurants that are all about the scene, I am not interested in going to restaurants to hang with the glamourous. I am staying at the Andaz so I can socialize in the bar & have a nice place to stay, but by no means would I enjoy eating at a place that sacrifices execution & quality for scene/hipster feel.

I have heard great things about Osteria Mozza & Lucques. Having said that I am willing to drive places as I will have a car with me.

Thanks much for all your recs Ciao Bob & Aqua W.

Any Recs near West Hollywood?

We are staying at Hotel Andaz on 8401 Sunset Blvd & are looking for recommendations on the following: Brunch, Mexican, Sushi & any other must to restaurant near the hotel.

We will have a car, but I don't want to drive more than 20 minutes. Just got back from two eating trips in Dallas & New Orleans which were fab so am looking forward to an LA eating trip.

Atlanta Recs near W Hotel

Sounds like I have a few good choices, hopefully I can make it to E 48th street market before they close at 7pm. And Five Seasons seems like that would make everyone happy. Thanks for the recs guys!

Atlanta Recs near W Hotel

Staying at the W Hotel on 111 Perimeter Center West next week. I am hoping you can steer me in the right direction. I am not looking for fried chicken or varsity type food. Looking for great restaurants that locals go to & I am not looking to break the bank either since I am with colleagues the entire week. If you can recommend some good spots within a 10 mile radius (will have car) that would be most appreciated! I am sure Atlanta won't dissappoint. Thanks much!

When Your Assets Decline, where do you still Dine?

Red Light as Frodnesor mentioned gives you great quality for a small price. However, you do need to pay $5 to valet now, but he does wear a sticker saying Valet (:

Cheen Huaye is a creative Mexican restaurant on 154th & Biscayne & they have this burrita dish for $8 which is very tasty, chef Marco knows what he is doing, he comes from Merida.

Christine's Roti Shop on 16721 NE 6th Ave has big roti portions for under $10. Bahamian Pot on 1413 NW 54th St also serves authentic Caribbean food.

Chez Rosie on 5961 NW 2nd Ave has great Haitian food, a bit greasy, but their butterfly shrimp and rice n beans dish is yummy & filling.

I don't like recommending chains, but Pasha's has several locations & you can get decent food under $10.

Finally, you can get some great sandwiches at Laurenzo's on 163rd & W Dixie. If you focus on the many ethnic eateries South Florida has to offer you can definitely do well within a budget. Trust me, I eat out every meal. Happy eating!

Sayonara Domo Japones; konnichiwa Michy's?

Indeed Domo was quite a dissappointing restaurant that figured they could get by on the cool factor, alas they forgot they needed a quality product in the DD. Look forward to the new tapas place.

Any recommendations in Coconut Grove?

My fiancee & I went there this weekend too & there are some items during the opening of a new restaurant that are forgiveable such as waiters not having knowledge of the menu & service being slow. Unfortunately, every meal we had was dissappointing. My crabcakes & fries were cold by the time they reached the table, plus there was not alot of crab meat in the crabcake. It is a great space with promise, but when the chef creates uninspiring meals then as they say "Houston we have a problem." I was considering throwing the chef in the dumpster down the alley. Having said that, if & when you go please update as I would love to see it do well albeit a new chef.

South Beach - girls weekend - cuban, tapas, steakhouse -- must love food!

I would reconsider Blue Door as their signature salad was dissappointing. It was drenched in heavy dressing & neither the shrimp nor crab were fresh. Look at the unappealing picture I took. However, in ankimo's defense, he does state that sobe food is usually pricey & average food.

South Beach - girls weekend - cuban, tapas, steakhouse -- must love food!

I have been to Nobu a couple times, but I prefer Matsuri for a more authentic feel. As for Sardinia, they just didn't impress with their service & food was bland and uninspiring. I will definitely try Macalusos & Altamar though as I have heard great things about them. Last time I tried Osteria del Teatro was a few years back and has some amazing rigatoni, I take it it is still a great place then? Thanks for the recs...

And I really don't mean to knock the beach as I live on the beach, but it just seems as the more creative chefs are across the bay i.e. Pacific Time, Michy's, Michael's, Red Light, Chef Allen's, Azul, North 110, etc.

South Beach - girls weekend - cuban, tapas, steakhouse -- must love food!

So besides Talula where do you recommend for dinner where you actually get great food on the beach? I have tried dinner at Sardinia & The Setai & was dissappointed.

South Beach - girls weekend - cuban, tapas, steakhouse -- must love food!

Fun Asian themed spots are Philippe at the Gansevoort Hotel & China Grill. However, keep in mind these are "fun sceney" spots & the food is not foodie recommended. A great restaurant in South Beach is Talula, eat dinner there & then head to Plunge at the Gansevoort for drinks. Prime 112 is a great steakhouse. However, if you want great food you need to venture across the bridge & head to Pacific Time, Michy's, Michael's, Red Light, etc. Have fun in Sobe.

Any recommendations in Coconut Grove?

Try Le Bouchon du Grove on 3430 Main Highway, they have an awesome lobster salad. It is a small French bistro. They just opened a sister restaurant called Le Petit Paris (name?) that I will be trying this weekend. Happy eating.

Any Recommendations on South Miami Restaurants?

It seems as though I have lots of choices now. Thanks for all the input & will update you as I try them out.

Any Recommendations on South Miami Restaurants?

I tried Trattoria Luna & the pasta was overcooked & the bruschetta was ok. However, I will definitely try Jake's. The fact that I won't work in Boca anymore & will be back in Miami & have more options makes me happy.

Any Recommendations on South Miami Restaurants?

Are there any restaurants worth visiting for lunch or dinner within a 3 mile radius of US1 & Red Road in South Miami?
