Thanks! I suppose that this "trail" could be expanded to include more of Scottsdale. Any advice on locations that are a suitable walking distance/trolley/cab from the stadium? I am trying to find things through internet searches, but that can only provide so many possibilities. |

These places sound awesome! I really like the teddy bear with a machine gun. To elaborate a little further, I plan on having a checklist with various photo ops grouped by points (1 pt - picture with someone wearing a cowboy hat; 25 pts - picture of group members with mini mini bus; 1000 pts - picture of group member in back of police car (not actually being arrested), etc etc. Any/all ideas are welcome. Thank you so much! |

Where to find Molecular Gastronomy Chemicals in YYC I recall seeing a molecular gastronomy set at SAIT's marketplace about a month and a half ago. It was on the same shelf as their vinegars and oils. I have no idea what the price might be but it would be exactly what you are looking for. Be sure to pick up some awesome and cheap steaks while you are there. |

i saw tomatillos at sobey's in forest lawn two days ago. i do not frequent sobey's across the city, but the entire produce section is quite impressive (mustard greens and the like). |

Dinner for 7 -- Friday or Saturday night, late March Hello again, Let me start by saying I have had great success in reaching out to people on these boards in the past and thank anyone offering guidance my thanks in advance. So...I am hoping to find some insight into what would prove be a memorable dinner for 7 people to celebrate a joint 60th birthday party for my parents. Some of the people are not overly adventurous or experienced diners, so somewhere with sushi, foie gras and truffles or unpronounceable menu items will not work; this crowd is more of the fish n chips, sandwiches, simple salads, hamburger type. Part of our festivities are going to take place in Disneyland (staying in Anaheim but with vehicles) and I know that most of the Downtown Disney/Disney Park fooderies are likely not going to cut it for what I am hoping to find. The venue would obviously help in cementing the memories of the evening, as would the service, so something in the $50-60 per person range might be somewhere to start; I am currently in school and want to pick up the bill for the meal, so please try to keep this in mind when formulating your schemes. Thanks again for taking the time to read and any suggestions you might have. If you need anymore information from me regarding particulars of the evening let me know. Mike * 7 fairly standard diners for a 60th bday |

Picnic - Food and Location in LA?? Curious to know if anyone has suggestions for a potential picnic location in LA that would be comfortable for myself and my girlfriend to enjoy an afternoon in late April?? Have tickets for a Dodgers game on Apr 23...is there something close to the stadium?? Thinking about having a bottle of wine with some bread, cheese, etc. Would the wine be a bad idea?? Please let me know thoughts on how this could work; I appreciate any/all info. |
