Lizzo's Profile

Italy Joins the Boxed Wine Rebellion

While I think this is a great move ecologically, I love bottles.

What are your favorite wine blogs?

I've been loving this one as of late:

http://goodwineunder20.blogspot.com/ - It has pretty detailed reviews and I love that everything is so organized.

The best amaretto

I'm currently going through a bottle of Bols amaretto, but feel there has to be something better out there. I know Disaronno is often said to be great, but is there other semi-widely available brand that is nicer?

wine.woot.com

Anyone ever bought anything from them? What are your impressions?

Indy: markets, butchers, and bakeries

I can definitely second the wine shop on Mass Ave. and also Saraga.

Wines from the Mediterranean coast of Spain -- help?

I've decided I want to branch out and have heard a lot about wines from places like Valencia and Alicante in Spain. Does anyone have any recommendations? I prefer red rather than white wines.

Suggestions for someone who has never had wine before

I have to admit as interested I am in wine, I have no clue where to start. I don't live near anywhere that offers free sampling, so that is not an option for me. Any advice on what type of wine to start with? I know it's a very broad question, but maybe someone has a bit of advice or personal experience to give as input.

Lunch in Bloomington, IN?

I would suggest Siam House, which is Thai food and is located on 4th street. There are many other ethnic options on the same street.

Opinions on this drink?

I've been looking at this for some time now and just can't figure out if it would be great or terrible. I don't have any Jägermeister and don't want to go get some to make this if it is going to be completely disgusting.

2 oz. Jägermeister
2 oz. Kahlúa
1 oz. lemon juice
Fill with orange juice

Does that sound like it has potential or does it sound sick? I have no experience with Jägermeister and therefore have no clue about how this would taste.
