Looking for a special chef for a special birthday. Planning an elegant dinner party and am looking for an exceptional chef for 10 foodies. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
PRAGUE - GOOD BEER AND GOOD FOOD?
Going to Prague with a beer fan who would like the experience of one of those beer gardens/halls. Any place to recommend that has good food as well?
PRAGUE - ALL SET BUT NEED ONE MORE RESTAURANT!!
OK, here's what we've come up with so far:
Dinners at Kampa Park and V Zatisi
Lunch at Kavarna Slavial and Cafe Savoy
We need one more dinner - suggestions please!
Also, if someone disagrees with these choices, please tell me.
Much apprecited!
Vienna restaurant opinions & recommendations please!
We will be at the Imperial. One over-the-top restaurant is surely enough. I started with the hotel's recommendations and started looking on the internet and it's just become overwhelming. We would like to experience different types of Viennese cuisine and not find ourselves eating the same food over and over again. Your suggestions are very much appreicated.
Vienna restaurant opinions & recommendations please!
Will be in Vienna at the end of April and my head is spinning looking at the different restaurants. We have dinner reservations at Steiereck cause it seems like we should and are looking at Walter Bauer, Rudi Beisl and Zum Schwarzen Kamel. Any of these better for lunch than dinner? Also would like some lighter fare choices for lunch. Any other restaurant that I haven't mentioned that we shouldn't miss?
Thanks!
Whist's New Chef?
Has anyone been to Whist at the Viceroy since they've gotten their new chef?
Fifth Floor - downhill or still good?
We're coming to SF from LA and trying to find a top restaurant that is open on a Monday -- not easy - TDR, Mina, Coi, Acqucrello are closed. Going to Spruce for lunch on Tuesday, have been to Masa, Fleur de Lys, Aqua and Danko, waiting for updated menu from La Folie, not renting a car so not venturing out of SF. What's the story with the Fifth Floor? From what I've been reading it doesn't seem to have held up. Any other suggestions?
Fun birthday restaurant for the over 40 set
6 women. Would prefer not going downtown. Would go to Hollywood if it was worth it.
Fun birthday restaurant for the over 40 set
Need a fun reasonable restaurant for a 50th birthday. Have been to Tokyo Delves, Papa cuistos, Stevies, Micelis and Buca dei Beppo. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Dinner on Upper East Side
Also, what about David Burke Townhouse? And is Elaines as awful as they say?
Dinner on Upper East Side
Don't want to go to Daniel, I keep reading awful things about David Burke Townhouse -- any suggestions for an out-of-towner?
LA foodies need advice
I'm not sure -- I guess cause it's not the "newest and the latest".
LA foodies need advice
We'll be in town for 4 nights. What's the word on Daniel? Someone told me EMP is "old". Any thoughts on a restaurant in or near the theatre district? Also need lunch in Soho So far the only place we're set on is The Modern. Want to go to Scarpetta but can't get a reservation when we need it.
LA foodies need advice
We are foodies from LA and are looking forward to some really great meals in NYC. We haven't been to New York for 10 years so we need some help picking restaurants, both lunch and dinner. We aren't fans of heavy cream/butter dishes (we are from California after all) , no japanese, chinese or thai (we have enough of those out here) or Indian (husband doesn't like) and while money isn't an issue, we're not looking for every meal to be over the top. Looking for yummy, fun, interesting, from downtown to uptown and lunch in Brooklyn and Soho for sure. One night is my husband's birthday. Also opinions of Scarpetta, The Modern, John Dory, Babbo, Rouge Tomate, Dovetail, (recommendations from concierge). all suggesstions apperciated!
Foodies from LA
I know that when I travel I have to give up the fat phobic to some extent. I love great tasting food and I just try to make good choices when I order. What I do best is take a bite of everyone else's food!
Foodies from LA
We are staying at Hotel Le St. James. From what I've been reading it seems like if we don't go to Au Pied de Cochon then we won't be experiencing Montreal. What about Lemeac, La Chronique and Decca77? Should we go to Joe Beef? Cavalli?
Foodies from LA
OK Montreal --- you've heard it before but... we're coming into town for three nights from Los Angeles and are looking forward to experiencing what Montreal has to offer foodwise. You could consider us foodies -- we pretty much hit the newest and latest restaurants in L.A. -- we like good, tasty well prepared food that's not floating in butter or covered with a cream sauce (I know, my Los Angeles is showing). Looking on the sites there are so many restaurants to choose from -- Le Club Chasse at Peche, Nuances, Chez L'Epicier, Au Pied de Cochon, Europea and on and on. Would appreciate some help.
Anyone been to BLT?
Got a reservation but trying to decide if I really want to go. Anyone been yet?
