Hollywood, FL - Need Recommendations!
It looks like a whole in the wall, but my suggestion in Hollywood, FL is Marino's on 441. Under same ownership and managemnet for years, you will get premium Italian complete with chianti bottles with multi col candles on the tables. I have been eating their since I was a child and recently took my son a student at Johnson and Wales University culinary school there for dinner. It dosn't disappoint. Great portions include a complimentary appetizer of cornish game hen and 3 bean salad I'd like to take a bath in! My favorite entree is the Veal Scalliopini w the home made raviolo side. Beware garlic is in full use so make sure everybody indulges!
Substitute for Andiamo
Are you speaking of Andiamo in Ponte Vedra Beach? If so and you are looking for the best pizza around in a kid friendly environment, go to Marios on 3rd Street in JAX Beach. It is in a strip shopping center and very unasuming. But the waitstaff and owners are all authentic Italian and the pizza dough is made on site. My son loves to tal k to Francisco or whoever is at the pizza oven. Often they give him a small piece of dough to try tossing and molding. Another great part of Marios is their complimentary garlic rolls and bruschetta plate. We often special order the Mussels fra diavlo. It is not on the menu all the time but if you ask they will make it and their mussels are fresh and delicious! This place only has sesting for about 35, so you may have to wait on a weekend. They do have take out as well though! Mangia!
