Birthday Dinner - Pescaterian $75-125 w/ drinks per person

I'm looking for somewhere to take my girlfriend out for her birthday. Loves a great atmosphere and wine, but focus will be on the food. Both of us eat fish but not meat.
I've been looking for a good tasting menu w/ wine parings. We live in the East Village but will travel anywhere, including outer-boroughs.
Thanks!

Gardens of Salonica - recent experiences (MSP)

The past Saturday (3/21/09) I was going to go to Brasa but there was a 45min wait @7pm. Although I frequent Red Stag I hadn't been to Gardens of Salonica and have been wanting to try it for a while. I was very pleased with the meal and plan on coming back soon.
My date and I started with the Appetizer combination plate ($8.95) choosing the following:
-FAVA: beans pureed with greek olive oil, seasonings, garnish of onion and lemon (a creamer humus served w/ pita)
-PATZARIA: steamed green top beets in vinaigrette (very tender and flavorful beets. This was my favorite of the trio)
-ANGINARES: artichoke hearts in greek olive oil, fresh squeezed lemon juice, garlic, seasonings (Great seasoning and went well with the Fava dip)

For an entree we shared the VEGETARIAN MOUSAKAS
10.95 meatless variety of mousakas with feta and tomato-wine sauce

This was very tasty and had nice savory and sweetness to it.

We were late to meet a friend and didn't have a chance to try dessert/coffee.
Service was attentive and professional. I will definitely be back.

[MSP] Dinkytown "Healthy" options

LPB does offer some healthy options although I don't believe they have wheat pasta. For apps I like their Salad Savage that has a light champagne vinaigrette, pears, gorgonzola cheese, raisins and candied walnuts. Also they have a steamed artichoke and a fairly healthy and light bruschetta or tuna sushi roll. You can also add chicken, shrimp or grill beef for pretty cheap. For pastas they have a vegetarian orzo that can be made vegan and healthier by eliminating the cheese and includes grilled marinated artichoke hearts, and asparagus. They can make a lot of adjustments for dinners if you ask. I also really enjoy Camdi right across the street for some of their healthier vegan options including soups and spring rolls. Kafe 421 is also a safe bet for some healthier items and they have the 1/2 priced bottle wine deal i believe monday nights.
