Individual bottled wine/champagne cocktails for brunch?
We are planning a bridesmaids brunch that is going to be a trolley ride. We are providing boxed lunches and were trying to figure out an easy way to serve some type of champagne cocktail (preferably mimosas). I was wondering if any folks out there know of a good cocktail that is individually bottled? Thanks in advance.
Fine Dining in NC mtns
In need of recs for Bryson City or Sylva area for fine dining would love a view. Thanks.
Wings for the race
Anyone have a suggestion for a good place to get take out wings for Saturday's race. Would prefer something we can pick up coming from the south on 77 towards Lowe's speedway before we get to the Concord area. Thanks in advance.
Myrtle Beach, SC - OK Hounds - Lets update the rec's for MB
Okay here goes my rec's:
People watching-creek front in Murrell's Inlet (CreekRatz or Drunken Jacks or Wahoos)
or the hot dog places on the Blvd (it is a chain on all the main drags up
and down the strand with the name Sam in it)
View-Gulf Stream Cafe (Garden City)
Burgers-Hamburger Joes
Wings-Fat Jacks in Surfside (garlic parmesan...slap your mama good)
BBQ-Prosser's in Murrells Inlet
Seafood-Russell's (in Murrell's Inlet); Marina Raw Bar (NMB); Bimini's
Steak-Bovine's (in Murrell's Inlet)
Entertainment-Gulf Stream has live music on the deck; Drunken Jacks has live music;
teenagers would LOVE Dick's in Barefoot Landing
Ice Cream-Painters is about the only local store I can recall, and I find it doesn't have
much flavor (to me). You would be better off at the Marble Slab or Cold Stone...or
Johnny Rockets at Broadway for shakes (and entertainment)
Pizza-definitely Calfornia Pizza...try the San Francisco (or Diego...can't remember) Pie it has filet mignon on it
Additional info: totally ditto on Frank's and Louis's in PI they are really good. Also, if you head that way, check out the Kudzo Bakery in Litchfield. They have awesome baked goods, dips (especially the crab), and homemade bread (they do a specialty bread each day so you might want to call ahead to check out the "bread schedule" love the jalepeno cheddar and cinnamon raisin...go early; they sell out fast).
Question about 131 Main drink recipe (Charlotte, NC)
Does anyone out there know the recipe for the signature drink served at this restaurant called the 131 Maniac? I know it has peach schnapps, Southern Comfort, Amaretto, and sour mix. Just don't know the amounts.
Thanks
Augusta Eats During the Masters
You might want to check out Rhinehearts (I think that is how it is spelled). It is a very interesting/fun place to get oysters/seafood.
Looking for good eats in the Tampa area
We will be in the Tampa area in a few weeks for my nephew's baptism, and we are looking for good, family friendly eating rec's in the area. We will be staying in Dover and would appreciate any suggestions in that area. We will probably be going to Ft. Desoto one day so something in that vicinity would be great, as well as Tarpon Springs and Ybor. Thanks in advance. We love seafood and ethnic foods.
? about the Crow's Nest in Homosassa
Can anyone tell me about the Crow's Nest in Homosassa? How is the food? Is it family friendly? Does it tend to have long waits, and can you make reservations/call ahead seating? We will be in the area in a few weeks, and I saw this mentioned in a previous post which made it sound interesting. Thanks in advance.
Heading to Charleston!
The Boathouse at Breech Inlet on IOP used to be really good, but I must admit I haven't been there in 3 years. We also enjoy 82 Queen and Garibaldi's in town. You used to be able to get a brunch in the restaurant at the Charleston Place hotel. I second the See Wee, and another great place for lunch or light supper is the Boulevard Diner in Mt. Pleasant. Have a great trip.
Columbia, SC girl's night?
Melting Pot is fun, but it makes for a long dinner if you have plans afterwards. Just my .02.
