In need of recommendations for low key dinner/drinks in GTA for 27th birthday!
Hi everyone,
I am looking for a low key- hopefully not too busy location with good food and drinks in the GTA, that is not a chain! I am celebrating my 27th birthday and hoping just to have friends out next Saturday for an evening of good times! Any recommendations would be great, I am really out of ideas right now!
THANKS!
No Holds Barred.. Restaurant Recommendations in TO?
Hi everyone,
To make a long story short, my bf's boss has given us the opportunity to have a night out on him. There is really no limit on where we go, but I want something that I don't have everyday and possibly a tasting menu if possible. We both are not picky, and really just want an overall great experience.
Any suggestions?
TOP "essential" New York Restaurants $ to $$$$
Wow. Some great reviews here. I have been lurking on the Manhattan board for a week or two, but your in depth post really got me interested. I am visiting the city from Aug 10-14 and now I need to consider my food options : )

First time traveller to Halifax--Advice?
Hi everyone,
I have travelled extensively throughout Canada, the US and abroad, but have yet to travel to the East Coast of Canada. What are your must try-- restaurants, dishes, local pubs....? Any advice for me?
Where to take 17 year old boy in Oakville/Burlington?
How about Spoon and Fork on Trafalfar Road? It's got a ton of variety--Thai/Chinese and a killer Spring Roll platter appetizer : )
Wings in Kingston?
I second the Kingston Brew Pub. The beer is also phenomenal.....(Home brewed)
I believe there is also a chain of Wild Wing Located off of Princess Street, if you are looking for a well known place........
B + B Ristorante - Molto Las Vegas
Hi all,
I just had a wonderful meal at B&B on Thursday evening. We shared an appetizer, the Calamari & Seppie (Cauliflower), each had a pasta, I had the Bucatini with Artichokes, and my bf had the Cozzett with Rabbit. We shared the dessert as well, which was ricotta balls with a divine chocolate sauce. Overall, a great food experience. You don't necessarily have to order the appetizers, primi, secondi, and dessert as they recommend, I was pretty full after these dishes, and doing a full 4 course meal would be too much.
Overall, a great experience.
Casa Loma's Royal Brunch
It's not worth it in my opinion. Took Mom there last year. If you are looking for ambiance, it is the place. If you want a great meal, take your family elsewhere. It's a 2* buffet in a 4* location. All there was on the buffet were salads, some hot pasta, chicken and 5 not so spectacular dessert selections. Good luck in your choices.
Gourmet Dining in Kingston Ontario
I would do Chez Piggy or Woodenhead's. The Kingston Brew Pub is great for a pint and some pub grub, but if you are looking for something slightly more upscale, I highly recommend those.
Torontonian visiting SF and looking for budget eats!
Hi everyone,
I've been a frequent reader, but now have decided to join the message boards. I will be visiting San Francisco next week for about four days with my bf, and we are looking for great food and experiences for reasonable prices. We are not picky in any way, but I happen to favour seafood above all( I believe I am coming to the right place). We are staying in the Wharf area, and are happy to travel within reason by public transit. Any recommendations for good food finds, lunch, breakfast or dinner would be fantastic!
Thanks!
