Shanghai Tunnel on SW 2nd and Ankeny is awesome - especially the now nonsmoking downstairs.

Uwajimaya roasts pigs for $250 and I think they have 2 different styles.

Look at some of the restaurants on NE 28th Ave- Pambiche, Tabla, Navarre (they are all up the street from Ken's). Its a fun area and there are many bars (including wine bars) along the street.
Pambiche has a late night Happy Hour (that is delicious) starting at 10pm on Friday.
Tabla has a prix fixe menu for $25, their site is down so call to confirm.

Winco is great for produce.
I also agree with the Barbur Market rec, they have a good amount of produce. Its has many different ethinc food ingredients (great pita, spices, picked things etc) a deli with many Lebanese choices but no olive and cheese section though. Its in Tigard on the way to Winco and Costco (Costco has decent prices on cheese inlcuding 2 types of Feta -cow and sheep the last time I was there) - about about $2-3 per pound.

Try Mo's chower on the coast (stick with the original chowder - the one with shrimp added wasnt too tasty and the rest of the plates werent too impressive looking). ITs in a charming part of town right on the bay - next to a taffy and doughnut shop and a short turn off of the main road.

Check out the Blue Heron Cheese Factory in Tillamook OR (not the Tillamook Cheese Factory). They make their own smoked and peppered brie, and have wine tasting for a nominal fee. Its charming and easy to find.
Also novel is the Flying Dutchman Winery by Devils Punchbowl. They are the only working winery on the coast and sits right next to Mo's Chowder (delcious and a charming story) and are in the same parking place as the punchbowl.

Portland is the land of Happy Hour for both food and drink. Try Jake's Crawfish (not the one at the Governor) or Henry's Tavern on Burnside. Paccinis is also a great place for students, right on PSU's campus and reasonable prices for great food. Look at Citysearch.com for Portland happy hours and cheap eats.
