Drinks at Sixteen and a dining question
Two questions for everyone. We're in town this weekend for two nights. Staying at Hotel Sax and want to go over to the Trump Hotel for a cocktail. Is there a bar in Sixteen that we can go for just a drink? If so what's the dress code? Next, we need a dinner suggestion. Saturday night we're going to Volare which is a requirement for us everytime we're in Chicago. But we're undecided for Friday night. This past summer we checked out Graham Elliot and enjoyed it. We're looking for something along that line but we want to stay in jeans and sweaters and try to stay comfortable that night. I've read a lot about Blackbird and Custom House and know everyone's thoughts on those two. Those two are on our list right now. Does anyone have any other suggestions along those lines? Does that give you enough info? Thanks for your help.
Need help with one last place!
Good morning
We're on our way back to Chicago for our annual summer trip. We'll be there for 4 nights. Right now we've got Graham Elliot (first time), Volare and Joe's (we always have to do these two). Looking for one more place that we've never been. Looking to stay somewhat casual (not bringing a jacket) and in the mood for seafood. We've done Hugos a number of times so we don't want to repeat. Any suggestions? Is Spring something we shouldn't miss? If there's a new spot that needs to be checked out and isn't seafood we're open to that as well. Hopefully, that's enough info to get some suggestions going. If you need more info, please let me know. Looking forward to suggestions. Thanks.
Lincoln Park ideas
Going to a concert tomorrow night at Park West. Any thoughts on where to get pre and/or post concert drinks and apps? Thanks.
Searching for a new place!
We'll be back in Chicago this Friday and Saturday. We go at least 4 times a year and each time we never miss going to Volare. We absolutely love it. We're looking to add another Italian restaurant to our "favorite list". Any suggestions on a place that has the same warm, comfortable feel as Volare with great food. We've also recently been to Coco Pazzo and Quartino as well.
We also are looking for a good late night spot Friday for after a concert. We're staying at the Sofitel and would probably end up at Lux Bar unless we can find something else for a late nightcap and app. Thanks.
