Sunday Brunch at the Hotel Bel Air?

I've never been to the Four Seasons brunch, but the Hotel Bel Air is particularly lovely. I don't think you can be disappointed.

Pasadena is weak!

Wow! You are eating at all the wrong places and making terrible assumptions of Pasadena! There are actually some really great places, like ...

In Old Town: Malagueta, Lucky Baldwins, and Yahaira Cafe (a little beyond though).
Pizza: Tarantino's
Italian Deli: Claros (in Arcadia)
Sushi: Tokoro

You are also missing out if you haven't eaten at Smitty's or Parkway Grill for nicer American, Saladang for Thai, and El Portal and Cafe Verde for Mexican to name a few other favorites.

And don't get ME started on Pie N'Burger. I could eat In N Out several times a week, but would still prefer a Pie N'Burger any day over that. You can't order pie and milk shakes and chili at In N Out!!

Taco Lita in Arcadia?

My coworkers LOVED this place and raved about the sauce, but when they took me there, I thought it was like putting ketchup on my taco. Yuck!! But I understand that some people are just addicted.

Veal Bones for a Stock--where?

Jim's is a great market! In my experience though, if you ask Bristol Farms to get something for you, they will, you just might have to wait for it to come in.

Pizzeria Mozza - Menu Recommendations

The pizza with the egg! and the one with the clams! It may sound strange, but trust me, they are delicious.

Chocolate Freak Tour

I haven't been in, but there is a Leonidas on Colorado in Pasadena. Can't attest to the cafe, but I've eaten the pralines/chocolates and they are yummy!

Outstanding sushi in OC

Yes! This place is by far one of the best. It's fantastic. My parents live by there and go often ... even with my dad who hates sushi and will only eat it at this place! Last time my mom got the omakase (is that how you spell it?) and she said it was the best thing. You are right about the price by the way, but it's totally worth it!

Anaheim Convention Center

Citrus City Grille in Orange. It's been ages since I've been there, but supposed to still be good. If you want to go for drinks afterward and it's a clear night, the patio outside at Orange Hill Restaurant is nice and has a good view of "city lights." Never eaten there, but used to get fancied up in college and go for drinks late. Mr. Stox is average on food and predictable, but has very large wine list, if that's important too ... also very good souffle. And what would be very good is Cafe Francais, but not sure if it's even still there. Was on Meats in Orange, but I don't know if the married couple who owned it ever did get their divorce. Last time we went, the wife had moved back to France.

Memory Lapse - Pasadena eatery on Colorado

You are thinking of Mi Piace ... not a great place to be sure, but a fun bar! For really good Italian/Mediterranean go just a little further west on Colorado and duck into the alley. Across from the movie theater you will see a door that opens to a stairwell. Go up. The place is Cafe Santorini. Really nice, and a much nicer patio!

Dinner in Dana Point

My parents live in Dana Point, so some favorites are: Dizz's, 230 Forest, Luciana's, and Ti Amo for fancier places, and Thai This and Antoine's for casual. If you venture beyond Laguna, try in Crystal Cove Blue Fin, Sage and Javier's which just reopened there. Have fun and happy eating!
