BBQ in Austin
My husband and I are coming to Austin for memorial day weekend and we are looking forward to trying some great BBQ. What BBQ places would you recommend for dinner Sunday? I heard that Franklin is amazing, but since our time is so limited in Austin, I prefer not to wait in line for hours. Any opinions on Opies? We are staying at the W an will have a car, so we are willing to travel for great food. Also, I am planning on dinner Saturday at Swift's Attic and brunch on Sunday at Olivia's; any thoughts? Any advice is much appreciated!
Need cheap fun place for lunch to celebrate end of first year of grad school!
Can anyone recommend a fun place for lunch where I can go with 8 of my classmates to celebrate the end of our first year of grad school? I prefer downtown, but we can go anywhere... Somewhere where we can have a nice meal for about $20pp?

Chelsea Market is great for breakfast too! The Milk place has a great skillet egg dish!
Bartenders with flair?
After watching the bartending competitions (with the bartenders spinning the bottles and juggling them etc,) on The Food Network, I would love to go to a bar and see a 'live performance'. Does anyone know of any such bartenders in Manhattan?

Cheap eats in Fairfield, CT?
My parents are helping me move to Fairfield and I want to take them out to dinner, but I am low on funds... any suggestions for a reasonable place for dinner?
NY wedding venues
I have looked at a bunch of wedding venues in Manhattan - I loved the Boathouse in CP, but heard that the food was not so good - LANDSHARK, it sounds like you had a great experience, what did you pick for the menu? Right now, my top choice is Abigail Kirsch at the Chelsea Piers Lighthouse. I have heard good things about the food and the venue is great - slate and hardwood floors, lots of windows, not overdone at all!
Recommendations in Ft. Lauderdale?
I need a few reasonable recommendations for breakfast/lunch/dinner in Fort Lauderdale... we are visiting my dad for a few days who is a pretty picky (simple) eater... any suggestions would be appreciated!

Crazy cheap dinner
Pepe Verde on Hudson St...I don't think it is BYOB, but you can definitely do great pastas with apps/drinks for well under $20 pp.
What's the last restaurant you ate at?
Le Zie - pretty good! Had a bellini - delicious... sauteed baby artichokes for an appetizer and a great halibut special served over a orange and fennel salad.
Maui Vacation
Thanks for the recommendations! We just got back and had a great time! We went to:
Aloha Mixed Plate - good traditional food, but I would not go out of my way to go back
Marco's - diner like, but GREAT breakfast food
Paia Fish Market - Probably my favorite meal of the trip - great fish tacos
Maui Brewing Company - interesting beer, loved the coconut porter and IPA, good pub food
Sansei - GREAT sushi, very different rolls - we had an ahi roll with spinach and arugula that had panko on the outside and was quickly panfried - AWESOME
Four Seasons - Great drinks with fresh juices (I had a kiwi martini), and we ordered a few appetizers that were delicous, but tiny and very overpriced (but what do you expect at the Four Seasons?)
Gazebo - great outdoor spot - we had a great casual lunch there and I heard the breakfast there is amazing
I cant wait to go back and try some of the other places I didnt get a chance to go to.
Montauk Recommendations?
Can anyone recommend some places for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Montauk (or on the way there) for a weekend getaway? We are not picky and will try anything!

Best Sushi Below 23rd?
I really like Aki on W 4th. It is a hole in the wall, but they have great sushi and you can definitely spend less than $60pp.
Rehearsal Dinner for 50 near Poughkeepsie?
Another idea is to rent a space and use a caterer... my engagement party was at the Poughkeepsie Tennis Club and the caterer was Slammin Salmon. The food was delicious... you can call them and they will probably be able to help with other ideas for spaces if you do not like the tennis club.

Aroma Osteria has a sister restaurant called Il Barilotto... (I'm not sure if they can accomodate a party that large, but you can try them - ask for Scott).
Also, although the food is not as good, try The Blue Fountain - they have a very nice private room that can easily accomodate 50-60 ppl.

I second BLT Prime - order it with the chimichurri sauce on the side - it is amazing!
