Karl's Sausage Kitchen Trip
You have to try the liverwurst. Fine is a lot better than the coarse. It is the best anywhere. The crud that you get in supermarkets doesn't even come close. They make it themselves and it is awesome. Their landerjaeger is really really good too. I like the softer fresher ones. I've tried various sausages and they have all been good. Their bratwurst is as good as any in the Boston area. The people are nice. Some of the counter clerks are German and can appear to be reserved but ask them questions and they warm up instantly.
Thanksgiving dinner in Boston
Try the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem. They put on a pretty good spread. It is nice, not to over the top fancy but no riff raff either. They may tell you at this point that they are booked but they will accomodate you if you show up. Due to family reasons, we eat there and have not been disapointed yet. There is a huge buffet with more choices and food than you can possibly eat.
San Diego Fish Tacos & Burritos
I was just refered to a Burrito place called Santana's by one of my employees that used to live there. Any thoughts on this place? Bostonbeefeater

Thank you for all of the awesome feedback. It is looking like Mariscos German may be the place to go. I am in SD for two nights starting on Friday so I will be able to check out a couple of places. I hope that either I or my wife can reciprocate someday on suggestions on where to eat in Boston. Bostonbeefeater
Newport Beach Places to eat
I will be staying in the Newport Beach area and driving to a convention at Disney Land each day for a week. I am looking for a couple of good places to eat that are not too fancy, too expensive or too touristy and are not chains. I am hoping to find a local restaurant with excellent local food. I will be travelling with a couple of guys from work and we are all on a limited budget. I want to stay away from anything Disney. Good seafood or Mexican is a plus. References to a local food specialty in addition to places to eat are appreciated. Thank you, Bostonbeefeater
San Diego Fish Tacos & Burritos
I will be in SD for a couple of days on business and am looking for a place to eat a good burrito and another place to get some fish tacos. I abhor fast food chains and tourist traps. I am looking for a local mom and pop type of place that only locals know about. We can't get good burritos in Boston and I hear SD is the place to get them. Though we get wicked awesome fresh fish here in New England, no seems to know how to make a good fish taco. Thanks, Bostonbeefeater
