Two Nights, One day in Healdsburg, 7/24/11
Downtown Bakery is fine and conveniently located on the Plaza. But most locals find Couteaux much better as a bakery and place to eat. 2 blocks away on Healdsburg Ave
First time trip to Wine Country (Oregon, Napa/Sonoma), need opinions please!
Napa has more traffic but has wonderful wineries and restaurants. Yes it is a tourist area...........it certainly not gong to survive with just locals.
Sonoma is a tourist area also.......not as crowded yet. Expense is getting up there.. Marias post above sums it up
Your Sonoma list does nothing for me......look at Ridge and Merry Edwards. Id do both and enjoy yourself.

Safeway was done 2 years ago as have most Safeways in California........not much upscale, just rearranged. it looks like all other safeways.

BJ is very different.........SW does not compare
It is not overpriced and no need to go to SW

chez spencer
An impassioned plea to FOX
I do not believe FOX has anything to do with it.......... The show is produced by some organization and Fox licenses it and broadcasts it. This is how most broadcasting works.
Originally I think the foodnetwork produced their own , not sure they do all now.

How to Smoke Tuna?
I think also way too long
As Rasp said Id do similar to salmon. Brine and smoke at low temp till maybe till 150 inside. Not sure of that temp as I dont have my notes where I am. Longer then salmon as tuna will probably be thicker. Look up hot smoking of fish for more details.
