It went very well. Went w/ one of their set banquet menus (about 3yrs ago). I think almost all of the places I mentioned above have banquet menus/pricing on their websites.

How many tables? For a similar event, I checked Asian Pearl, East Ocean Emeryville, Peony, Legendary Palace and East Ocean Alameda -- I ended up choosing East Ocean Alameda.

Peony has a back room that can fit your banquet also. Depending on the night, there can be lots of room in the main room also

Places in Oakland like Wonder, Ruby King and Napolean probably close around 6. Also, selection later in the day might not be as good.
