La Maison de Charly in Paris
We're trying to decide on a restaurant for Moroccan couscous in Paris and are between Le 404 and La Maison de Charly. We've been to Le 404 and really liked it, although it has been a few years and we're thinking we should try some place new. Maison de Charly looked interesting, but I haven't seen any mention of it on this site and wondered if anyone out there has been there recently?
Recommendations for Charleston restaurant for a large-ish group?
I'm hosting a sales meeting for the company I work for and am looking for good downtown restaurants that could handle about 15 people. Everyone except myself is from out of town and most have not been to Charleston before. We have at least one person who does not eat seafood and one strict vegetarian. I'd like to stick to entree prices in the $18-25 range. I am considering these restaurants:
Poogan's Porch
Slightly North of Broad
Fleet Landing
I thought about Blossom too, but have seen mixed reviews from folks that have gone there with larger groups. I also want to avoid places that will require us to use a fixed menu if at all possible. We will most likely be dining downtown on Monday and Tuesday nights.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback you have on these restaurants (particularly if you have dined there with a group) and/or any other recommendations.
Thanks!
Kristen

Has Artisan Francais in Overland Park, KS closed?
I think they are closed. The phone number is disconnected now. I guess I'll be trying Andre's next time.
I imagine we will be seeing more of the same with this down economy.
Has Artisan Francais in Overland Park, KS closed?
I love this cafe and was so disappointed when I went to have lunch there last week only to find it closed. There was no sign on the door to indicate why and their answering machine message says that they are on vacation until 10/26/08. Now their website is down. I realize these are all indicators that they are indeed closed, but I am hopeful that this is a temporary situation. It is so hard to find places like this out in South Johnson County; I'll be so sad to see another small business close its doors.
Anyone know the scoop?
