Thanksgiving - your BEST side dishes
This is the cranberry sauce I've been making (and supplying my boss' family with) for the past 2-3 years. My husband loves anything with cherries...and you can make it up to a week ahead. Works well as a topping for greek yogurt as well.

Looking for virgin drinks
Here's my dilemna: I like a good cocktail...but am on a temporary restriction from alcohol. I'm looking for places to go with good food but that have a bar that knows how to make a good non-alcoholic cocktail....I'm not talking just about virgin daquiris/pina coladas either.
Any suggestions? I'm out in Loudoun, but would be happy to go anywhere in DC, NoVA.

I've been to the same South Riding Ruby Tuesday's a few times. Though the salad bar is a pale imitation of the old Ruby Tuesday's, it hits the spot when coupled with the Turkey Minis or chicken chili. And given the other restaurants in South Riding, it's pretty decent if you're in the mood for American.

Hi! Husband and I will be travelling to Atlanta for the SEC championship in a few weeks. We'll be staying at the Downtown Marriott, near Centennial Park and the GA Dome. For the Smithsonian, Jose Andres (a local celebrity chef behind Jaleo, Oyamel, etc) is the visiting chef at the National Gallery for the Summer while they have exhibits highlighting Spanish still lifes and armor from the royal family. It's a buffet, but there are some a la carte choices.

for brunch, i recommend the Don Vicente de Ybor Inn in...Ybor. Their steak and blue cheese grits are amazing as are their jalapeno muffins. We had our wedding reception there (it was a brunch) and got nothing but compliments.

optik, i don't know where you are, but i highly recommend finding a le crueset outlet. the products are just as good as regular retail items and much cheaper. i absolutely love all of my le crueset pieces.
