I hear Ristorante Castello is moving into the Alison 2 space... I truely dislike going out to dinner to a restaurant located in a stripmall. I want my evening to feel a little more special than a typical day running errands. Stand alones feel more like a destination for me. Just my opinion. |

Hooray! I'm so glad to hear the positivie review about the Charleston Crab. It's my favorite and rarely seen in these parts. |

Looking for a "dock and dine" option within a two hour boat ride from LBI causeway. Thanks for all the great suggestions. We went to Captains Inn and enjoyed the live music and some drinks. |

Looking for a "dock and dine" option within a two hour boat ride from LBI causeway. Boating on the bay this weekend and we're always looking for a new place to dock the boat and have lunch. Any ideas? |

Help me, my chowhound friends...nice glass of wine in Montgomeryville? Leaves a lot to be desired. Always wished it would improve. |

Help me, my chowhound friends...nice glass of wine in Montgomeryville? Fine. Ruby Tuesday. Everyone became too tired to drive far. Actually the crabcake sliders are pretty good and the Frei Brothers Chardonnay went down pretty easily. |

For real French bread, Bakers on Broad is wonderful. Owned and operated by a Frenchman. It is on Broad Street in Souderton. Not too far from Ambler. Closed on Mondays. |

New Mexican Restaurant in Montgomery County I'm not sure if there is a website. They do serve breakfast but I've never tried it. |

I posted on a topic and it disappeared??? Hi, I posted a reply on the Pennsylvania board regarding the Zacharias- Worcester topic today and it just disappeared. I know I hit "Post" because I saw the timer moving. I wouldn't care otherwise but my reply was rather lengthy. Can you help? |

New Mexican Restaurant in Montgomery County I'm glad you liked it. Let's spread the word so this cute little place makes it. Thanks for your feedback. |

Who has best mac 'n cheese in Mont/Chester Counties? She won. |

OK. I feel I should contribute some feedback. I took the advice of chowhounders on this topic and had a terrible breakfast experience. My husband, baby and I set off for Sunday breakfast/brunch at the Front Street Cafe. It has a beautiful atmosphere and what seemed like lovely brunch buffet. The place was empty and brunch was $18 per adult and $6 for my two year old. Too pricey for what we had in mind. So we left and tried the Karlton Cafe on Broad. The server was very sweet and accomodating but we didn't have such a nice time there either. My french toast was burnt (like black) and our dishes were dirty. My potty training daughter needed to use the restroom and it was filthy. I couldn't wait to get out of there. $45 later and we were on our way home. Here's hoping to find somewhere in this area for decent Sunday breakfast. |

Where to eat in Skippack that won't break the bank I happen to feel that Basta Pasta is a little too pricey. My hubby and I looked at the menu and left and drove down to the B-73. For about the same money we sat outside at the Brasserie and had a gorgeous evening. I felt that Basta Pasta doesn't have the atmosphere to charge the prices they charge. Their outdoor bar is fun, though. |

Where to eat in Skippack that won't break the bank I would go to The Parc Bistro for thier pizza. It keeps the price down and the pizzas are delicious. They are cooked in a wood fired oven. Just don't get the bacon cheeseburger pizza. I found it to be too greasy. You could go to http://www.skippackrestaurants.com to see the menus of all of the restaurants in the village. Lastly, the Bella Rossa is a little cheaper and it is in the Hotel Fiesole. It is on the lower level of the building with a cigar bar below again. |

New Mexican Restaurant in Montgomery County I thought I would spread the word that there is a new Mexican/Guatamalan restaurant in Souderton. It is called Mi Ranchita and it is in Souderton. It is a tiny hole in the wall place without a proper sign. I've eaten there three time and loved it every time. The food was fresh and light and super cheap! So far I have had a few tostadas at $1 each! My friends ordered soft tacos and refried beans and gave them a thumbs up. If you are looking for it, it is located on Broad Street in Souderton a few doors down from the movie theater (currently under renovation) and directly next door to Duane's Salon. |

Appetizers to serve with Zinfandel? Tonight's my tasting. I expect ten tasters. I'll report back on how it went! |

Can Pizza Be Better in Burbs than Center City? Never had Mamas pizza but the cheesesteaks are one of a kind. Not your typical cheesesteak. They are bursting with meat on a crispy roll. Order it with light cheese since they go super heavy on the cheese. They are so successful that they have limited hours. We always get them to go since the dining area is tiny. |

Appetizers to serve with Zinfandel? I'm having a wine tasting party and we will be tasting Zinfandel. Any suggestions on what I should serve for appetizers? |

Starting up a wine tasting group, any advice? OK. My tasting is set for next week. We will be tasting Zinfandels. Now what to serve as appetizers. I have thought of dark chocolate, Parmesean Reggiano, and a bleu cheese. Any other suggestions? |

Can Pizza Be Better in Burbs than Center City? I like New Britain better. The crust is thinner and tender. |

Best Cheesesteak (in Philly) from a Place That Is Off the Beaten Path? Just make sure you order in English! Ha Ha to all you natives. |

Can Pizza Be Better in Burbs than Center City? Exactly. Trenton is over an hour from me. |
|
|
Can Pizza Be Better in Burbs than Center City? It is basic pizza, to me. Thin chewy crust, right amt of smooth sauce and great greasy cheese. The slices are the right size, too. Not too small. The owner might seem grumpy because he doesnt speak too much English. They do make cheesesteaks and hoagies but I prefer other places for those. |

Can Pizza Be Better in Burbs than Center City? Oh yeah. He loves Mack and Manko in Ocean City, as do I. |

Can Pizza Be Better in Burbs than Center City? He likes Nat's in Doylestown, Spatolas in Chalfont, Pizza Plaza in Souderton and Maple Glen Pizza in Maple Glen. For cheesesteaks he's a sucker for Mamas in Bala Cynwyd. Thanks for your recs. |
