Park Avenue - Winter Park

Bosphorus is great order the appetizer sampler and mixed grille. It is the best meal in the orlando metro area. Luma is good to but a little too south beach for me. The new mexican place cocina 214 isn't bad either

You are in luck. Word has it they bought the property where j&w landscaping was right down the street. Building a new place on a nice size piece of land.

Best sushi in Orlando?

Sushi Tomi is the best for the freshest and best tasting fish. They do not carry a lot of exotic rolls though....that is why you will see so many Japanese people eat there. There are only 2 restaurants in ORlando where the Chef will acutally look a the fish they are buying. That is Sushi Tomi and Shin.

Mitsubishi, the largest Japanese emplyer in Central FL, has 2 offices. One in Lake Mary and one in S orlando. The people in S orlando go to sushi tomi, the people in lake mary go to shin

PR's Winter Park.....Chicken Wings

I've been goign to Pr's for years now and usually order a chimmy or fajitas, and of course some tequila. On my visit this past weekend i saw come gentleman order the chicken wings and they looked quite good. I inquired to the bartender about them and she said they were their "double dipped" wings. Apparently they fry them, toss them in your sauce of choice and then throw them on the skillet for a bit to "sear" in the flavor. I will tell you they are quite tasty, and definitly worth an order next time you head in for some mexican at Pr's

Anyone been to this little deli on fairbanks by edgewater? Truly a wondeful little place. The owner is so nice, you just want to go back to see how he is doing. If you like Gyros, you'll love this place as they are huge and the best tasting gyro in town. Also ask for a sdie of hummus. he'll giove you more that you can even imagine.

4 Rivers Smokehouse Winter Park

On my first visit I got the brisket dinner which came with three sides. that was $11.99. I went back yesterday and got 10 smoked wings for $6.99. the wings are phenomenal. so tender and juicy. pick up an order of six when you go.....trust me.

Also on my last visit I noticed a darker meat they had in between the pulled pork and pulled chicken. I asked what it was and it was meat for the Burnt Ends sandwhich. It was heavly smoked portions of the "ends" of both brisket and pork. It tasted fantastic and my next order will def. be the brunt ends sandwich.

Regular sanwhiches are $6.99 plus two sides.

The lines have been really long and it can take about 15mins to go through it, but i think it is worth it.

Enjoy

Magical Dining Orlando Reviews

I was there this past Friday, and you are right about the amount of food. Even our server couldn't believe how much food they were "giving" away. The app portions are huge, we had the queso and hervos roll and bothe were good. I had the hawiann ribeye which was very tasty. not a prime cut of meat bu good none the less.

By far the best value of what I have seen from all the restaurants on the list.

One thing to watch though is they show you what the total would have been on the bill and then the server just writes in the actual total in pen. OUr server was off by $25 with his math. I think he was trying to scam us.

Other than that, its worth the trip.

herbert was it crowded when you went? i was surpirsed how dead it was when i went

Orlando (Downtownish): Two nights of excellent dinners?

I agree with Rona on Kres and Luma. The food is too inconsistent. I would go to Ceviche for the atmosphere, plus lots of choices for your veg friends. I have only had one dish at black olive when i ate at the bar and it was very good. I would say those two are good bets and right in the heart of down town

Pesca Lakeside D Orlando

I finally ventured into this place last night after reading Scott Joseph's blog about it. I definitly agree with him on the decor, it just doesn't feel right. Also the sun that comes through the big open windows at dusk is almost unbearable. we had to move away from the window. They need those sahded that houston's has.

Aso for the food, I was not impressed. I wasn't surprised though because i've never really liked any of tato's places. I had high hopes for this though. The best roll we had was the shrimp tempura. It was pretty good. The volcano roll was bland and nothing like fuji's dynamite roll which is what they are trying to copy i think. The spicy slamon roll and philly roll were tiny and average. My date ordered the seafood risotto which was unedible. The mussels were GROSS, they must have been rotten. The risotto itself was way too salty. the waiter was nice enough to take it off the check which was nice.

Maybe since it is new they are working out the kinks. I'll probably give it one more try in a couple months, that is if it stays open longer than Tato's last place Rustic.

best wings in orlando

Graffiti's wings are very good, but also very different. I could see a traditonal wing person not liking them.

Hurricane Grill is a small chain but have good wings. they have 42 different flavors. Spatz, a smoky bar in winter park has good wings. Freindly confines is not bad either.

If you are ever in Daytona stop by the south turn. best wings in FLA imo.

it's the same, as they have one in orange city. it seems there are several Laspadas. The one here claims locations in Orlando, Orange City and Charlotte, and fromerly in Chester County and Ft Lauderdale.

LaSpada's Original Philly Cheesesteak in Orlando

i'm a philly native as well and they don't serve peppers on them unless someone asks. It's an Ammorossa roll, chopped meat, cheese and onion. I hear what you are saying about sliced meat vs. chopped. Each is good to me and arguing is like the age old pat's vs ginos debate. One slices the other chops.

Now that i think about you might be able to have them keep it sliced. they don't chop it until they put it on the grill for each order so i don't think it will be a big deal.

LaSpada's Original Philly Cheesesteak in Orlando

Finally, I have found a place within reasonable distance that serves authentic philly cheesteaks and hoagies. I can't believe it has been so close to me and I just now found it after living in orlando for 5 years. The place is LaSpada's and it is at 1010 Lee Road in the shopping center behind Mcdonlads and Popeye's. My only complaint is that they do not offer cheez whiz as an option,as I do it enjoy it that way every once in a while. They use authentic ammorsa role and even have Herr's potato chips. Apprently they also have a location in Orange City.

Trust me, this little peice of heaven is worth a try. Only open until 5 m-f and 4 on saturday.

Daytona Beach

I lived in Daytona most my life and my parents are still there so i go quite often. They actually have a devent sushi place now called Ronin. IT's "downtown" just off beach street. The best pizza in Daytona is Pete's Pizza on corner of Nova and Beville. If you like wings South Turn on that same corner, oppostie side, is by far my fave. maker sure to get them grilled. The Brickyard metnioned above does have fantastic burgers. Teh Deck Down under is worth going to and is a fave. Down the Hatch is in ponce inlet, not port orange. INlet Harbor in ponce inlet is a great tourist visit. they have the best atmosphere. sit outside right on the river, and a band is always playing.
