Toronto Brew Pubs?
What are the best brew pubs in Toronto? Are there any particular parts of the city that are best for this?

Gracie's in Providence review
My husband and I had a great dinner at Gracie’s on Friday night. We both had the 3 course prix fix - for $35.00. We paid an up charge for the foix gras starter which was fabulous. I had the sea bass, which was excellent, my husband had the duck. His duck came out cold, so they took it back and were very apologetic. Between courses they served small amuse bouches - really nice. The waiter could not have been better. Bread - homemade was offered in four different varieties. Desserts were very good, and we were so full we couldn't finish them. 0h yeah, it was our anniversary so they brought us sparkling wine at the start of the meal on the house. We talked to both parties on either side of us, which was fun. Gracie (the owner) was in the restaurant. We will definitely go back. It is in a fun neighborhood with a lot going on and we enjoyed walking around it before dinner. I'd recommend it for a speical occassion!

Framingham/Natick restaurant recs??
I don't think anyone has mentioned Stone's inn in Ashland which is a great pub with character.
Metrowesters-I need your help!!!
Tomasso in Southboro is an Italian place, pretty good - its on Route 9. Stone's inn in Ashland is a good pub, great atmosphere - you can get pub food or more upscale dinners. Sel de la terre is in the Natick Collection - I've not been to that location but I liked the one downtown.
Fish and Chip recipe?
We know how to make the chips (fries), but does anyone have a good recipe and/or tips for making the fish? We have a couple nice cod filiets that we wanted to fry up.
Thanks
where to eat with parents/in-laws in metro-west
In Natick there is Sel de la Terre - I haven't been to that one, but I like the one near the aquarium quite a bit.. If you go one town East from Natick you could go to Tomasso which is an Italian restaurant that gets a lot of good reviews (you could check the web site for prices). I like Stones Inn in Ashland (one town over from Natick) which is a great Irish pub. I know these are not towns you mention above, but they are very close to Natick.
Any great lunch spots west of Rt. 495?
If you go North on 495 you could go to the Bolton Winery which has nice food in a very nice country setting.
6 girlfriends from out of town -- what AFTER dinner
I took my son and his friend to Tomb a couple years ago. We had fun, but its really more of a kid place - definately not something I would do with my girlfriends.
Rt.495 suggestions
You could try Tomasso on Route 9 in Southboro (East of 495). It is Italian.
I also like Mango for Thai food in Milford (but I'm no Thai expert). Its very close to 495 on 109.
Two quick questions about Angela's..
Thanks! The "American" breakfast is great to know... Definate selling point for my son.
Two quick questions about Angela's..
I would like to go to Angela's in East Boston on Monday around 2:00 P.M.
First - My son is very picky. Would he be able to order just a PLAIN cheese quesadilla?
Second - I don't know that area. Is parking impossible like the rest of Boston at that time of day?
Thanks!
Recipes for Hot Sauce
You might want to post this question on the home cooking board.
Prezza or Grotto?
Thanks to all of you. All of this has made me decide that for this occassion, we will go to No. 9 for a drink (I've always wanted to go) and will get the prix fixe at Grotto. Any other sure winners at Grotto that folks would like to steer me to besides the delicious sounding garlic soup?
Prezza or Grotto?
I did a lot of searching, and narrowed my choice to Oleana - however they don't have tables available when I wanted to go.
So, now I'm chosing between these two. Both menus looked good - looks like Grotto is quite a bit cheaper...
I also read that the service is wonderful at Prezza, and I really like good service as we don't go out very often. I like to have a nice relaxed, non-rushed meal.
Thanks
Mango Salsa?
I would like a recipe for Mango Salsa that I can serve with grilled Mahi Mahi (freshly caught!). Any secrets?
Thanks!
Cambridge (or close) Saturday breakfast at 7:00 a.m?
I started the post, and we went to Deluxe Town Diner, and we loved it. Thank you Finlero! I had a great omelet - and was really thinking about ordering the sweet potato pancakes. The omelet was not HUGE, but had a lot of fillings (and was plenty big), so that was a lot better than the huge ones with little fillings. Husband had the steak and eggs and was very happy with them. Next time I will try Spots - or go back and get those sweet potato pancakes at the Deluxe.... Tough decison.
Cambridge (or close) Saturday breakfast at 7:00 a.m?
I did a search, but most people talk about Brunch on Saturdays. I wish Miracle of Science was open at 7:00 but they are not. Not looking for fancy, just breakfast!
We have a car, so could drive 15-20 minutes.
Lunch near Columbus Ohio Airport?
I think we are doomed!!!
If we can get some free frequent flyer tickets we will still come, but otherwise....
Thanks again for all of your suggestions...
Lunch near Columbus Ohio Airport?
I checked out the Easton towncenter and there are several places that will work for us. Thanks very much! Without you guys I would have ended up at a chain or fast food place!
Lunch near Columbus Ohio Airport?
We are flying into Columbus and driving to Cleveland (cheap skybus tickets). Looking for a non fast food place to grab lunch, probably closer to Columbus than to Cleveland. All cusines fine - pubs are good too as usually our whole family can find things they like.
Thanks!
4 days in Tucson, AZ from L.A.: Recs?
We go to Tucson from Boston every year to visit relatives. If you go to La Parilla I recommend the Tortilla Soup. The salsa is great too (three types). We also like the mixed platter at Cafe Poca Cosa.
Good vodka or rum drink at Eastern Standard?
We're going there for a drink before dinner on Satuday. We don't like gin, but anything else is okay.
Anything not to be missed? Many of the cocktails on the menu looked great.
Thanks
4 ladies in Orlando, $40.00 each for dinner?
Thanks for the great ideas. I had assumed most restaurants in WDW would not be great, but apparently I was wrong! I'll forward your suggestions to my colleagues, we now have plenty to chose from.
4 ladies in Orlando, $40.00 each for dinner?
Going to a conference in Orlando in May. We are staying at the Walt Disney Marriott. I don't think we'll have a car, but could take a 10-15 minute taxi. Our expense account is $40 per person, but I'm sure we could kick in a few extra bucks if necessary.
Looking for good food, nice atmosphere (doesn't have to be "hjp", but something interesting). I think I'd like to stay away from Thai and Chinese, but Cuban, French, up-market American, Seafood, etc. are fair game. I don't want chains that I can go to up here (Boston) like high end steak houses.
I did do a search, but as you know, we can't search by date anymore, so it was tough. Also, since I don't know anything about the geography, I could not tell if a restaurant was close to Disney.
Thanks all!
Metrowest Area
I meant not the kind of places that have the loud irish music that I find hokey - I should have phrased it differently. I'm no expert on Irish places, so I guess I should have left that out. sorry.
