nontraditional wedding cake
My brother and his fiance are having a "cupcake" cake. IE. 150 cupcakes, stacked in the shape of a cake, with one large cupcake on top for them to cut .
Thai Plate
The few times have been for dinner on a Saturday or Sunday night, it has been empty. However, the food is very good. I have done take out from there several times as well.

Second Beer Bistro. A little pricey, but good food, and awesome beer selection
Moving to Thornhill - Looking for some local recommendations please!
I have always liked Indian Kitchen, which is on the first floor of a condo right at yonge and clark....

Roti and/or Jerk Chicken
Hi All.
Thanks for the feedback. Went to Carribean Bistro as it was right down the street from an appointment I had in the area. I had the jerk chicken Roti and a double. I don't have a whole lot to compare it to, but I thought both were very good. Nothing I would go out of my way for, but when in the area, I would return again. As noted above, their hot sauce is great.
Roti and/or Jerk Chicken
Anyone have any suggestions for good Jerk Chicken and/or Rotis in the Yonge and Eglinton area?
Thanks
Help! - Need a restaurant with good food and a big beer selection in Toronto!
I'd also vote for Cest What - and I think the food is pretty good.
Yonge/Steeles reco
I would say Me Va Me for a schwarma sandwich or meal, or Indian Kitchen (Yonge and Clark - 2 blocks North from Steeles). Neither are "cool" but both have great food.

Won a bet. Which Restaurant would you go to?
Hi All
Thanks for the feedback so far. The dinner will probably not occur until later this summer, but I will cross Sassafraz off my list. I had notspecific desire for Bison, but was just looking for something beyong just Mortons an "old school" steakhouse.
Thanks again

Won a bet. Which Restaurant would you go to?
Hi again. The group is 5 guys in their mid 30s. I am not a big fan of sushi or Itallian or almost anything that i have seen on the Black Hoof menu if that helps at all. I was thinking Sassafraz becuase the bison steak on their menu appealed to me. As I said, I was just hoping to pick something beyond just Mortons or Harbour 60. Thanks

Won a bet. Which Restaurant would you go to?
So I won a world cup pool that entitles me to $100 towards my bill at any restaurant in Toronto of my choice. Previous winners of this pool have chosen traditional steakhouses such as Mortons and Harbour 60 so I would like to pick something beyond just a normal high end steak house. I was thinking of picking Sassafraz. Where would you go if you had $100 towards your bill.
Thanks

Cheap and Dirty: Thrifty Dive Bars of the GTA
HAHA... The Barn. Way back in the mid 90s, a group of us would a night of drinking at other seedy bars (no longer in existence) with a bottle of Mateus wine at the Barn. There are others that are dirtier and seedier, but you will get looks if you are not a regular. Main crowd that I recall being in the place was various groups of men, well into their 60s,if not older, watching hockey, and drining bottles of blue light or labatt 50
Breakfast in Markham / Richmond Hill / Thornhill
Steves, back at their original location on bathurst, SOUTH of wilson, way back in the mid 80s, was always only open from 7:00 to mid afternoon.

Orange Beef
I happen to think that Szechuan Gourmet makes an excellent Orange Beef. Flavour is great and the beef itself is not of questionable quality like some Chinese food places
NFL Bar needed
I would be careful about going to Hoops. If there is a local highschool hockey game on, that may take precedence over NFL. Went to watch Raptor playoff game there years ago, and they only had it on one tiny screen. Leafs on big screen. We say, "your bar is called Hoops"? They say "were a hockey bar"
Eigensinn Farm
Hi All.
I know that Eigensinn Farm is often a top of the chart restaurant in Toronto life. I am wondering if anyone knows how this place works. I tried calling but was not able to get through. I believe you have to book in advance as they only have one sitting a day.
I am thinking of getting my friend who is getting married a night at this place for him and his wife, and paying for a local B and B. I understand there are some B and Bs that offer a shuttle service.
If anyone has more info on this place, and whether you think I would be able to pre-pay for my friends, it would be appreciated.
Thanks

Brew Pub - Fenway area
HI All
Thanks for the great feedback. On other question if I may. It seems i will be spending sometime in the "Wharf District". I am not sure how large an area this refers to, but it it is somewhat condensed, any tips for this area would be appreciated as well.
Thanks again
Brew Pub - Fenway area
Hi.
Going to be in Boston in late August for a few days. I am wondering if people can recommend any brewpubs in the Fenway Park area.
Thanks

South side of Harbord, just east of Ossington
I would also say the burger at this place is one of the best I have had in the city.
Help - forced to eat at Spring Rolls! Is there ANYTHING decent there?
I have never been a fan of this place. Was also forced to go a few weeks ago and had the Lemongrass beef. By far the best dish I have had at this place.
The Great Toronto Hot Dog Taste-Off
I would agree with the poster above that J. Kwinter is the best.
Best eats @ BMO Field?
I'm a season ticket holder. The menu changes each year. This year, there is a new "chicken curry roll" that I really liked.
Fulton market burger co
This place just opened up by Bathurst/ Centre st in thornhill. Grand opening was just this past weekend. I have been looking forward to a review myself.
Quiet Pint in Downtown TO?
I would also suggest Cest What. Even if a game is on, there is another big room without any tvs. Good food, and great beer. Some couches as well if you are there early enough to grab one.
Bureka and Rugelach from Open Window Bakery
I have never found a Rugelach that is better than from What a Bagel. Several locations around the city and quite expensive, but they are the best. I am not a fan of Brurekas so I have never tried them from What a Bagel.
