Dutch food?

I researched this a few months ago and found nothing! I'll definitely keep looking, but am interested to see if anyone knows of a Dutch restaurant! Good luck!

Eurocup matches where to watch and eat

I am looking for a bar or restaurant in Park Slope/Carroll Gardens or surrounding areas that will show the matches this weekend. Anyone know of a nice location with good food as well?

Vegetarian spots in Park Slope

Pita Hut has a Vegetarian section on their menu. I especially like the Vegetarian platter. For $8.95 you get hummus, baba ganoush, 2 stuffed grape leaves, 2 falafels, a chick pea salad, lentil salad and another salad with onions and pita on the side. The sitting area is not great, but you can take out or have your food delivered.

Sweden markets and restaurants

I am taking a trip to Sweden this summer and was wondering if anyone could tell me where to find the following:

fish markets
butcher
cheese shops
farmer's markets

I want to try the most fresh food they have to offer. I'll be staying with a friend and thought it would be fun to prepare a few meals at home. Also, any suggestions for restaurants would be appreciated as well! Thank you

I am on a mission to find the best Foie Gras in Brooklyn. Please send all suggestions. I have also posted a similar question to Manhattan board, so please only suggest for Brooklyn. Thank you!

Foie Gras

Where can I find best Foie Gras in NYC? Restaurant, location and price are not important, it's the foie gras that is!

Otto

I love Otto! It is definitely kid friendly and the food is great. I tend to order a selection of their cheeses rather than dessert. I would recommend making a reservation, as it is a madhouse!

Girl's night out - Fun dinner

Any suggestions on where to have a fun dinner to kick off a bachelorette party? There will be around 5-8 of us and we are open to all cuisine. Not picky about the location, just want a really fun and great restaurant. The bachelorette party is not before mid-June! Any help would be appreciated.

Breakfast Spots in Times Sq area

Red Flame Diner is on 44th Street between 5th and 6th (closer to 6th). Fast service, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner (extensive menu). Popular for lunch patrons who work around the area.

Prix Fixe Menus in Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Fort Greene, and surroundings

Patois has a 3 course prix fixe for $20. I went recently after quite some time away and the food was wonderful. Ambiance is great as well, they have a fire place!

Where can i buy live lobster in Queens?

Flushing's China town is your best bet. There you can find live lobster, shrimp, fish...etc. I think you can find them between $10-15/lb, and most lobsters are between 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. Good luck and happy birthday!

New to Carroll Gardens--need shopping recs.

Fairway. It's in Red Hook and it rocks! It's at the very end of Van Brunt Street.
Sahadi's on Atlantic Avenue is also great for international ingredients, but not a full scale supermarket.
For Cheese, Stinky Brooklyn (though Fairway does have an extensive cheese section)
The Carroll Gardens Farmer’s market is on Carroll and Smith and is out every Sunday from July – Mid November. The Grand Army Plaza Farmer’s Market is much better, opened year round only on Saturdays. Hope this helps and welcome to the neighborhood!

Italian near Bryant Park

Looking for a good Italian restaurant for dinner with a friend near Bryant Park. Something that is not too expensive would help. Any suggestions?

Bar Tano

My husband and I went on Sunday night for dinner being that the location is close. It's great having a restaurant on 3rd Ave! The restaurant looks great. Staff was nice, but almost too attentive. It felt like we had every waiter in the restaurant come by our table. Understandable being they just opened. We had a pizza, which was good. Wine selection was great. I will definitely be back with some friends to try out more of their menu. For now, I agree with LesserKnown and think it best to let them iron out their kinks.

L’Entrecôte Closing 3/1/08 - What now?

What a sad, sad day! After 38 years, this wonderful little French restaurant is closing its doors. My husband and I have been going there for 8 years, the first time being our first date. This is hands down our favorite restaurant. I know nothing can compare, but any suggestions would be appreciated!
