Want to eat and watch Gold Cup games!

Besides my own house, does anyone know of any bars/restaurants that will be airing the games?

Thanks!

MSP - Dukem Ethiopian

It was very quiet when I went, only one other family. The TV was on and a few people who were just hanging out, but they kept going in the back so I assume they worked there. When I went they hadn't really changed the decor at all so it looked like a dark sportsbar that happened to serve Ethiopian Food. But the food was really good, I had the Dora Wat.

Yeah! Ethiopian, my favorite. Very exciting. FYI Tavern on the Avenue has a big sign that says "Home of the Pittsburgh Steelers", for those of you needing a place to go. :)

Ranking Twin City Caterers for an October wedding?

They do really nice tastings. Full sit down meal with their linens dinnerware etc.

Beef medallions with shrimp and chicken. SO good.

Ranking Twin City Caterers for an October wedding?

Kraemer's Catering did my wedding and we got nothing but compliments. They do provide dishware, glasses etc. The waitstaff is superb and the staff is more then willing to discuss the most minute details. We just got married in September so we had a very recent experience. I'd be happy to discuss more with you :)

Dntwn St. Paul tomato and mozzerella sandwich, anyone know a good place?

Hello all,

Thanks so much for all the responses! I am amazed to get so many good suggestions. As for driving, well, the longer I go without my Lady's Special, the better driving starts to look. So I've told myself that I'm going to try all the places you've suggested, maybe saving Broder's for the weekend. As for making it myself, apparently I lack the talent as I've tried and tried and it never seems quite right...

Thanks so much! What a helpful community!

Dntwn St. Paul tomato and mozzerella sandwich, anyone know a good place?

It is such a flavorful sandwich that is deceptively simple. I say deceptively because even when I use all the same ingredients, it NEVER turns out the way I want. Thanks for the tip! I haven't heard about Jakeeno's, I'll try it this weekend!

Dntwn St. Paul tomato and mozzerella sandwich, anyone know a good place?

Hi all,

I work downtown at Minnesota Street and 4th Street E, Saint Paul, MN 55101

I have been living in Boston for a while and REALLY miss Al's State Street Cafe where I'd pop over for one of their deliciously simple and cheap "Lady's Specials" on fresh warm bread. From their menu: "Fresh mozzarella, sweet plum tomatoes, and hearty basil, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar". I've been having such a craving for that type of sandwich in Minnesota. Does anyone know where I can find it? I'd like something close by my office that I can walk to and bring back.

Thanks!!!
