Chick-o-sticks

Has anyone seen these in Ontario.
I used to buy them in Niagara Falls, but I don't have a passport, so I can't travel there.
I'm buying them off of E-bay right now, but if I can find someone selling them in Ontario, that would be better.
I haven't seen them in Sugar Mountain either.

Thanks
Paul

Pickering?

If you like Samosas, a new store has opened up in Pickering. Been open about 6 months.
1211 Kingston Rd. West of Liverpool. Same plaza as M&M meats.
It's called Samosa Empire.
During the week, only Samosas and pakoras are sold, on the weekend, they have a specials.
If you go, try the Ghulab Jamun, they are to die for.

ISO Roti wraps in durham region

I believe you can buy them at Roti 'N Ting at Liverpool and Kingston Rd. Same plaza that has McDonalds, Tucked into the corner, where Mac's is.

Good Pizza in Vaughan/Woodbridge

I live in Pickering.
I picked one up one day, and took it home.
It was still warm, and tasted great.
For me it transported well.

are there any gourmet/boutique food shop in Durham Region?

thanks. I'll have to check this out.

KFC Double Down (moved from Ontario board)

Has anyone tried it yet?
Is anyone going to try it?

I was going to try it, but a friend at work says don't bother.
He says it's way to salty, and not that great.

I asked if he tried the fried or grilled double down, and he says he was never given a choice.
If I have a choice, I would try the grill, and would not have the bacon strips.

Price is $6.99 plus taxes.

I haven't eaten fried chicken for many years, whether it be KFC, Mary Brown's or Popeye's, so I'm not going to try the Double Down.

black balls - candy

thanks
I know where I'm going next week,

black balls - candy

Any one seen this product around.
Bulk Barn doesn't carry them any more, and the last time I was at Sugar Mountain, I never saw them either.
Thanks

Tobermory good eats

Based on this post, I was up in Tobermory yesterday to make a visit to a friend, and I had to try the pizza. The pizza was terrific.
I too recommend it.
Della Rocca Pizza is the best I've ever had, a thin and crispy crust. I devoured it in about 10 minutes.
I should have bought more than 1, and taken them home. But alas, I didn't.
Since they are only open in July and August, I now have somewhere to go next year, and I will buy more than 1.

Y & S Licorice Pipes

Hi.
I've bought those pipes, but they aren't the same. I'll stick to the cigars, which thankfully are still produced. I buy them by the box.

Frostop brand Vanilla Caramel Creme Soda

This drink is amazing. No way to drink the whole bottle at once. It was described as a liquid dessert in another topic.

I agree. I bought 3 bottles after reading about it. Everyone I shared it with, loved it.

I found this at www.sodapopcentral.com based in Whitby.

Brownies

Anyone sell really good brownies?
Brownies to die for?
Thanks

Y & S Licorice Pipes

thanks. I've seen them and bought them. Just not the same. I did find out that the pipes I'm looking for are no longer in production.

Y & S Licorice Pipes

Anyone know where I can find them. I bought the cigars at Bulk Burn, but I can't find the pipes.
Candy Mountain doesn't have them.
Are they still made?
Thanks

Chicago Pizza Kitchen in Maple. Easily the Best Pizza in the Toronto area. Worth a delivery charge.

Chicago Pizza Kitchen in Maple. Easily the Best Pizza in the Toronto area. Worth a delivery charge.

Well I just had my first pizza from here. I will be back, maybe once a month. I live in Pickering, and it was certainly worth the drive out there. I purchased a small Mexicana deep dish. While waiting, I had a slice of pepperoni pizza. And it was delicious. The pan pizza was delicious as well. I actually bought in on Tuesday, and kept in the fridge until today. I had half for breakfast and the rest for supper, except for 1 slice (I'm taking that to work on Friday). The next time out, I will buy a thin crust pizza and their Chicago Italian Beef sandwich (it looks pretty good in the picture).

opinions on Best Pickering Roti shop

The only Roti shop I'll go to is Roti 'n Ting. It's in the north-east corner of Liverpool and Highway 2, besides Mac's.

All meals are great.

What foods say "home at last" to you?

just by reading the header I would want my mom's mac & cheese or tuna mac & cheese followed by a rhubarb pie.

Soda Pop Shops in T.O.?

Soda Pop Central in Whitby.

doubles?

I live in Pickering, and I only buy my doubles and other meals at Roti 'N Ting.
NE corner of Liverpool and Highway 2.
They now sell their doubles with chicken, beef or goat.
Yes it would be unconventional, but oh so much better.
On Saturdays, I go there for Shark and Bake.
Never had a bad meal there.

Coldstone locations?

There is one in Pickering. The south-east corner of Brock and Highway 2, in the No-Frills plaza.

Poblanos???

Whole Foods in Oakville has them, any time I'm there.

ISO a great Mac and Cheese

personally I always use President's choice frozen Mac and cheese. It's just as good as my moms. She agrees with me, so she started buying it instead of making it.
I also have enjoyed great Mac & cheese from the Metro store at the Eglinton Centre.

Uncle Ray's Potato Chips in Toronto?

found them in Ajax, at Almost Perfect. Bought the hot and Jalepeno. Although the hot was hot, not as hot as I was expecting. The Jalepeno, didn't t taste like Jalepeno. The chips were 99 cents a bag, but nothing special to me anyways

Strawberry Picking Toronto

Whittamore's Farm is quite nice. North side of Steeles Ave, about 6 k's from Markham Rd. I've never actually picked strawberries from there, unless you consider I "pick" the strawberries from the table tops in quarts packets. They have great vegetables, other fruits, jams, pies etc. They also sell wine there

Cold Stone Creamery coming to Ontario

According to the ad in the Pickering paper, grand opening is for July 7. The address is 1725 Kingston Rd, same plaza as the Mandarin and No Frills, east of Brock Rd
