Craig's in Brick?

Didn't see this until now. The food is so so and like the other poster said it's dark and noisy in there.

They have a fairly decent brunch. It's just breakfast food but it's good and reasonable and you get a cocktail with it. I enjoy it since I typically like to eat breakfast foods for brunch.

Seafood- Shipwreck Grill? Shrimpbox?

Can't really compare the two since they are different atmospheres. I enjoy The Shipwreck Grill and have never had a bad meal there.

Red or Teak Restaurant in Red Bank

Thanks for the input! We were leaning towards Red but I think we will try Teak.

Red or Teak Restaurant in Red Bank

My friends and I are wanting to try a new place in Red Bank for dinner. We frequent Buona Sera and occasionally we go to the Melting Pot.

After doing some research and asking someone who works in Red Bank we are down to a choice between Red or Teak Restaurant. For those who have been to one or both can I get some opinions on them? If you've been to both which would you choose?

Thanks in advance!

Reality check - shellfish near Red Bank and Toms River, NJ

I think you can't go wrong with either Bum Rogers or Mud City. Food is similar. Bum Rogers is known for their garlic crabs. Both places get insanely crowded on weekends so just be aware of that when you make the trek. : )

Nice Lunch in Atlantic City

I would also recommend the Metropolitan. I've never had a bad meal there.

Offal meats in Brick, NJ?

Can't help you with the offal or frog or game but I go to Bruno and Taglia's on Herbertsville Road and Colonial Market on Bridge Avenue (in Pt. Pleasant) when I want a good steak. They are both comparable.

Five Guys Burger and Fries coming to Shrewsbury

I haven't tried Five Guys in Brick yet. Wasn't sure if it would be good or not. I'll have to give it a try.

Do you like sausage?

I grew up in FR. The German butcher has been there forever. They didn't always have the seating and menu that they have now but everything has always been good.

LBI hints and tips?

I will second Mud City. They have great food but you have to get there early as it gets really crowded.

best reastaurant to hold a celebration in central nj for 50 people

My friend got married and had both her ceremony and reception at Salt Creek Grille. She had about 50 or 60 people. It was very nice and she has some beautiful pictures from outside.

Where can i find a GREAT lobster roll in Monmouth/Ocean Counties..or close by?

It opened this Wednesday (two days ago). There was an article in the APP about it. They were planning to sell it but decided to keep it open another season.

I like the lobster roll at Red's. Here's a link to a review from tommy:eats

Has anyone been to the Marina Grille in Brielle?

I've been there a few times. It's nothing special. It gets quite crowded at the bar on weekends and at night. The food is so-so. IMO it's a little overpriced for what you get.

Point Pleasant~recs

I have lunch at Hickory Hog once a week as it's not far from my office. I love the steak tips. They are never a disappointment. I also get the chicken quesadilla on occasion which is also really good.

Latitude 40 in Point--been there...how was

If you went I'd be curious to see what you thought. I live in the area but have never tried the place because I've heard mixed reviews about it.

Client/Biz Lunch Suggestion(s), Westfield, NJ

I like Theresa's. When I worked in Newark my friends and I would take the train to Westfield and go there for lunch.

Harpoon Willy's~Manasquan, NJ

I have been going to Harpoon Willy's for over 10 yrs. Mainly to have appetizers and drinks at the bar. It's my understanding that the new owner has nothing to do with Shipwreck Grille. The manager was a former employee at Shipwreck.

They did make some changes to the menu--not to the names or description of items but to the way they prepare them. I was surprised to order something I have been getting for years and for it to come out and be something totally different. When I questioned the presentation the bartender told me that she's had a number of customers tell her it's prepared differently.

It is definitely not the Shipwreck Grille. The food is okay, the service is so-so. Like I said I have been going there for years because it's close to home and I enjoyed certain appetizers from the menu. Now that those are being prepared differently I am in no rush to go back.
