Mainline Anniversary Meal this weekend
I am trying to find a place on the Mainline (preferably around Wayne and what not) for my family to go have a nice lunch for my parents' anniversary. Originally, I wanted to go to the Marigold Kitchen but we are unable to go into the city that day. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions...I am open to pretty much anything as of now. The most important thing here is good food (ideally in a place that is nice and comfortable without being too formal). Thanks in advance for your help.

I live in Chester County (Downingtown-ish) and I am trying to figure out the market situation in the area and all the way into Philadelphia. The only ones I have really been to are the West Chester Growers Market and Reading Terminal. I was hoping you all might be able to offer some other places to look...
Also, I know of the Ardmore Farmers Market but I have yet to check it out.
And one more thing, I am open to orchard and farm stand suggestions as well. Right now, the only one I really visit is Highland Orchards.

Cupcake Gourmet in Malvern
i would have eaten them all.
i stopped by early-ish (9.30) on saturday morning and they were not open. i could not be bothered to linger for the thirty minutes until they were open...but things looked alright. the only issue i have is that while no one was there yet on saturday morning, the glass displays were all stocked with ready-made cupcakes. i really prefer to see them being out just before opening...even if it is only to give the illusion of being freshly baked.

i am currently out in the burbs until further notice...so i am willing to travel. and as far as a good cupcake, i like different cupcakes for different reasons. i was hoping to get suggestions of various places and then grab a friend or two and do a cupcake tour. it is something i have done with most places i have lived (like london and nyc). so any and all suggestions are good as long as you consider it good.
