New Sandwich joint in White Plains, MELT, anyone try?
I second the phenominal egg & cheese sandwich for breakfast. The coffee was just ok. For lunch, the flatbread is definitely better that the short/long roll. The flatbread pizzas are great.
Move over Sal's, All ' Antica Pizza in Scarsdale!
Finally made it here - haven't found any better pizza in Westchester although it's a much different slice than Sal's. I had the chicken slice and look forward to trying the others

Was there Friday night. Service was a bit uneven. Food was great - highly recommend the pizza with guanciale, black truffle, and a sunny side egg. I imagine reservations will be tough to get going forward but there is the bar area for those w/o reservations.

I've been looking for these in the supermarkets in westchester. Does anyone know who sells them?
'Q' in Port Chester
back from texas and went to q for a comparison - brisket does not compare to tx (still too dry) but I thought the ribs were excellent. We go early in the evening and the sides were very good except for the beans and collard greens are a bit too sweet for my taste

Went this weekend - brisket was a bit dry but very good - haven't found anything else reasonably close to compare. Texas chili was definitely oversalted so can't say for sure how good it would be.
Local Ice Cream Parlor in Westchester
Went to Paleteria Fernandez in Port Chester and thought it was excellent. I had the blackrasberry milk pop and a chocolate milkshake. Not many flavors for scoop ice cream but a very large and interesting selection for the milk and ice pops - would be great for stocking up in the freezer for a summer weekend backyard barbecue. Definitely worth a visit...
