What about the Boiler House in the Distillery?
Delivery in the East end/Beach?
With a young baby, we don't get out as much as we'd like (read: at all). We have found the choices for delivery in our area to be slim.
We are in the Main/Gerrard area, any suggestions for decent delivery? Any types of food welcome.
LOBLAWS Maple leaf Gardens
Hopefully they don't have the supply problems that other Loblaws seem to. My store hasn't had Pepsi in 3 weeks!! How hard is it to stock pop!!!
Late Nov Dinner Rec's
Hi All,
We will be hitting up Vegas for our 10th trip at the end of November. We plan to go to Cut one night as it is our fav and we love Sensi as well but that is closed while we are there.
Looking for recommendations for some new places, no Asian or seafood, anything else is fair game.
We have been to Mesa Grill and weren't impressed, we like Mon Ami Gabi for lunch but want something a bit nicer for dinner.
Thanks!

Where to buy fresh perogies?
I hate the frozen crap they sell at Loblaws and having a 5 month old means I don't have the time to make them myself, where can I buy some delicious fresh perogies that are uncooked?
Preferably in the east end.
Anything open for Canada Day???
Valumart in the Beach on Queen E is open. Also, Rowe Farms just down from there is open as well.

Panini press/waffle maker - does it exist?
I know tons of companies make these combo grill type things with interchangeable plates but I have never seen one that includes waffle making plates.
I know a lot of you will say not to get something like this in any event as it would be sub-par in both respects. However, I don't have a lot of storage space and these are not something I would use a ton anyway.
Any suggestions?
Is there any good place in Hamilton ON for a business lunch?
It's not exactly downtown but 1010 Bistro in Westdale is good.

Kid-friendly brunch near Queen and Ossington
I love the brunch at the Gladstone. Awesome food and they use all organic and fair trade ingredients. My fav is the Apple Flapjacks.
I have seen tons of kids in there when I have been there and they do have a kids menu as well.
Rehearsal Dinner HELP near CNE
Not sure how casual you want to go, but what about the Brazenhead Pub in Liberty Village.
It would fit the bill for your picky eaters and you'd probably be able to get away with 30 per person including alcohol.
John's Italian Cafe - A Little Gem of a Place
Agreed. I work in the area and I have been under duress a few times and its awful. I can usually get bad food but this was inedible.
Queen Margherita Pizza
I was there last night for dinner (Thursday) we arrived just after 6 and most of the tables were empty but we got a bit of attitude about not having a reservation.
Once seated our waiter was friendly but a bit awkward. I went with the Prix Fix and my husband just had a pizza on its own as he wasn't that hungry. My app was prosciuotto with some cheese I can't recall. It was good but the prosciutto was cut a bit thick. I had the ricotta pizza which I was comparing to the one I'd had at Libretto. Libretto won hands down, the QMP pizza was very stingy on the ricotta and the edges of the crust were charred. I don't mind it being well done, I know that's how its supposed to be, but this was BURNT.
My husband had the Porchetta pizza, he liked it but agreed Libretto was better. He was a big fan of the sauce and crust though so I'm not sure why he preferred Libretto.
For dessert I had the lemon gelato with a shot of Limoncello, it was ok, not homemade.
Overall, this place was just ok. I witnessed the guy who was seating people give attitude to many people over the course of the night and that just really rubbed me the wrong way. I got the feeling that the ego of the place was getting too big for its own good. We probably won't be back, in the area I actually prefer Lil Baci.
Where to find spring ramps downtown
Oh, I ate the green part too. I just wasn't sure if the bulb should have been bigger.
Where to find spring ramps downtown
I got some at the St. Lawrence market on Saturday. However, I'm not sure if they were actually ready to be picked, they were quite thin, the bulb was about a third of the size of a normal green onion.
I have never bought ramps before so maybe this is normal?
Which is better, Cut or Prime?
We are travelling to Vegas for my husbands birthday at the end of April andw e are considering either Cut or Prime for dinner. My husband is somewhat of a steak connisseur and has eaten Wagyu and Kobe steaks at various restarurants in the States, Canada and Europe.
Is Cut or Prime better for someone like him, or is there another option entirely?
We would probably not choose craftsteak since we were just at craft in NYC (I know craftsteak is different but I think we would like to try something else nonetheless)
Thanks
Decent Chinese delivery or take out in the Queen/King Dufferin Area
We are looking for a decent Chinese place in the area, doesn't even have to be mind blowingly good, just decent.
We have tried Saigon Flower and weren't that impressed, it was ok but expensive for what you get.
Any other suggestions?

SUNDAY BRUNCH -- BUFFET ONLY
The Four Seasons does a great brunch. I haven't been for a few years so I'm not sure of the current price or hours.
Las Vegas Caterer - Any Suggestions?
Has your friend checked out the Las Vegas board on theknot.com ?
I planned a wedding in vegas and while I didn't need a caterer that site was an invaluable resource.
Wedding Venue help needed... PLS
I suspect the Liberty Grand will be fully booked for this year by now.
Wanted: Saturday night dinner location for girlfriends within walking to Union Station
Terroni on Victoria is no longer there. It is now Osteria Ciceria e Tria, owned by the same people but mostly a seafood based menu from what I have heard.
Toronto hound coming to NYC
Hey All,
Just wanted to report back on our choices. We ended up getting into our hotel about 930 and decided to hit up Angelos. I had a cheese pizza and my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs.
The pizza was amazing, the crust was crispy but chewy and loved the sauce and cheese. We don't get pizza like that in Toronto (sad, I know). The meatballs in the spaghetti were very good as was the sauce, pasta was a bit overcooked.
We also tried the cart at 53rd and 6th, also very yummy. The only street food we get are hot dogs. The city government won't allow anything else.
One other comment, we have found everyone in NYC to be very friendly and very polite, much more so than Toronto. We love it here!
Thanks for all the tips.
Toronto hound coming to NYC
I think I know the answer already but, Carnegie Deli...yay or nay?
Toronto hound coming to NYC
Thanks, SteveR and RGR. I know 9pm isn't late in terms of NYC dining but I wasn't sure how hungry we'd be or whether we would want a big meal at that time.
All of your suggestions look great. Can't wait to get there!

No one???? Come on guys, I didn't think this question was that difficult. Help a fellow hound out!
Toronto hound coming to NYC
Hi All,
My husband and I heading to NYC this weekend to celebrate our birthdays. We are staying at The London Hotel which is located on West 54th Street between 6th and 7th Aves.
Our flight does not arrive into Newark until 730 pm so by the time we get to the hotel and get settled it will likely be around 9pm. I was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere close to the hotel for a quick bite? Possibly a decent pizza place or maybe burgers?
Thanks!
Breakfast/brunch midtown-ish?
Thanks TorontoJo, Boom is exactly what I am looking for.
Does it get busy? Will we need to line up?
Breakfast/brunch midtown-ish?
Unfortunately, College and Dovercourt is too far south. I really need something anywhere from Yonge and Eg up to Yonge and Lawrence Area or likewise on Avenue Road.
Breakfast/brunch midtown-ish?
I am meeting a friend and her 1 year old for breakfast and/or brunch this Saturday at 10:30. She's located at Avenue and Lawrence and I'm at King and Dufferin.
Any suggestions for somewhere in the middle that would be suitable with a child?
Thanks!
