Downtown Portland, 2 nights solo

It's bene awhile since I've lived in Portland and I haven't heard of the restaurants you are speaking of but while downtown I always enjoyed eating and listening to jazz at OPUS.

Alcohol recommendations for desserts

There is a coconut flavored rum that might be nice in desserts. I can't remember the name right now but it starts with an M and comes in a white kind of ceramic looking bottle.

Corn Tortillas: White Vs. Yellow

Don't have any info really but I think the white is good for delicate tasting foods like mexican pork and yellow is better for hardy tastes with salsas and strong flavors.

Been there, done that. Excellent. How about the beef dip at Phillipps (not sure about that spelling) I'm sitting in the cold in Coeur d'Alene dreamin about those sandwiches.

5 Qt. Le Cruset? Doesn't sound white trash to me. Last time I had the unpleasant duty of looking in a trailer cupboard they had k-mart burnt bottom aluminum pots.

Simple Pita Bread

I don't understand if you mix everything together, why do you have 1 cup water and 3.5 cups water. Why not 4.5 cups water? Also, I love wheat pita much more than white. Do you have a conversion to wheat? I eat pita chips baked with olive oil and parmigano reggiano almost every evening while watch TV and I'd love to make it myself. If you can straighten me out on the water thing I will respond after I have made my own. Thanks
