I'm a long-time lurker and rare poster on CH and find that these forums format and perform very poorly on my HTC Eris: which may be partly my phone and browser but not entirely. I'd like to suggest that CH support "Tapatalk", a forum intermediary for smartphones. It works very nicely on other forums I follow.

This may have been discussed before but I find nothing in a search.

Where to eat in Bangor / Orono, Maine?

Massimo's, next door to Fiddlehead is also very good. Ate there twice this summer, happy both times.

Santa Fe: blue corn pancakes

Tecolote Cafe has the best. And ma bell d is right about the real maple syrup.
Tesuque Village Market & the Plaza Restaurant are both good. Had some Sunday at the Plaza as a matter of fact.

Powdrell's. Any recent visits?

It was still good (but not great) when I was there in January but then I spent 30 years eating Texas BBQ. Together with Josh's in Santa Fe it's the best BBQ I'm aware of in this area.

Another Bar Harbor Question - Best Lobster Roll?

Gonna be awhile, I don't get there 'til late May. Maybe June this year if I help a friend sail his boat from the Cheasapeake.

Another Bar Harbor Question - Best Lobster Roll?

Here's the scoop on the Pink Adobe from the 7/4/2007 issue of the Santa Fe Reporter:

"After being sold to the folks who own the Inn of the Five Graces (behind The Pink) and closed for renovations since the beginning of May, this Santa Fe icon reopened last week. Initial reports are still coming in, but the word on the street is that former owner Rosalea Murphy’s legendary apple pie is still on the menu. Sorry, folks, the Dragon Bar is still under renovation so you’ll have to wait a few more weeks before resuming your regular happy hour rounds."

Don't know anything about The Periscope nor does the SFR quoted above.

How many bushels do you want :-)

Another Bar Harbor Question - Best Lobster Roll?

Ah, yes I'll 2nd that. Forgot about Tidal Falls.

Another Bar Harbor Question - Best Lobster Roll?

The best lobster roll is ... not in Bar Harbor. Drive over to "the quiet side" of the island and have one at Thurston's Lobster Pound in Bernard on the west side of Bass Harbor. Yummm, can't wait for June.

Francine Bistro Camden Maine

It was great last summer and fall. Tiny and a bit crowded but worth it. I think we drove to Camden five times last summer from Blue Hill to eat there. Well, maybe once we had other reasons to be in the area. Short menu, maybe four starters and four entrees. I think it was about $75/person including wine.

Fairfield Inn Santa Fe on Cerrillos Road

Try Adelita's just a bit less than two miles north on Cerrillos. It's between the McDonalds and KFC on the west side of the road and just north of the Richards Ave intersection. It's our favorite (and most consistent) Mexican restaurant in town. Mostly construction workers at lunch and families at night. Margaritas aren't anything to brag about though.

Maine Island Hoppers In Search of Good Eats

Buck's behind the general store in Bucks Harbor was pretty good last summer; not what the Out Back Cafe was a few years ago but not bad at all.

The Friday night fish fry at the Fisherman's Friend on the Stonington harbor is supposed to be good but I've not tried it: we go to the closer one at Marlintini's in Blue Hill we live in East Blue Hil

I'll second Francine's in Camden. I think we went there five times last summer even though it's an hour and a half drive from EBH.
