Thank you so much eveyone for all the suggestions. I am familar with Somerville area, since I work in Somerset Co, but I think my husband and I may want to venture out to somewhere that we do not go so often... Pirates Cove and Trinity sound great! Again, Thank you so much.

Of course, I will continue to welcome further feedbacks!!

Romantic Dinner in Central NJ

OK, I am looking for a place to go for our Anniversary with my hubby, but I am having a hard time finding the perfect place. Here is what I want.

1. Budget is about $50-60 per person
2. It could be prefixed menu
3. Somewhere that has a nice romantic atmosphere, or nice scenary. (i.e. by the water...)
4. Good food, but no little tiny food on a big plate!! lol
5. Ok, this one may be too much to ask... it has the dance floor. (This is not necessary : )

Let me know if anyone knows something like this! I have 2 weeks to plan!!!! Help!!!!

BTW, I live near by T.P. Exit 10, but I am willing to travel if not much.

Authentic Japanese Restaurants in Central NJ?

Wow!! I am the one who asked this question but I did not think I get this many response back!! I am pleasantly surprised!! I am going to take everyone's suggestions about each restaurant and I will report back, how does that sound? I actually found another authentic Japanese restaurant: "Daimatus Sushi" in ... Mountainside. Actually the owner of "Hamakko" was working there! They are all Japanese including the chef and the waiting people. I was very impressed and have gone back there 2x!!

I am actually Japanese, and I think I can tell what is good and bad. Well, I must confess that I do like all the Americanized Sushi Rolls. I cannot eat all the raw seafood, so American stuff is just perfect for me. However, I cannot forgive arranging Tonkatsu, Sukiyaki, Donburi and other stuff. That is just a sin.... I have not really tried too much of Sushimi in this Country.

I love going to Mitsuwa also, but I cannot stand the crowd either, like mmqpsych was saying. If you can avoid it, you should go on weekdays or early AM on weekends. Their food is good,... but I have had better Ramen noodles.

Thank you for all your feedback!!

Latino Restaurants in Perth Amboy or New Brunswick?

I have never been to Monumento.
But, I was not too impressed with Costa Verde at all. My favorite is Seabra's Armory (200 Front St. Perth Amboy) by the water. I heard mixed feedback on this place, but every time my husband and I went there, it was a pleasant experience. so... it could means just very inconsistant services.

Korean near Edison, NJ?

Noodle house (I think that is what's called...) in the same shopping Center as ShopRite is, right off Rt. 1 So. I believe it is also on 2nd Old Post Road (still the same road but, I just don't know how to explain.) They don't have BBQ, but their food is really yummy and bit cheaper than other Korean restaurants.

Main Street Trattoria, Metuchen, NJ

Honestly, Trattoria was not my best Italian restaurant. I was not impressed at all, although what I had was decent...

Authentic Japanese Restaurants in Central NJ?

I live in Edison, NJ, but I don't seem to be able to find an authentic Japanese Restaurant, meaning, owned by Japanese people.

Only place that I have known to be Japanese owned authentic restaurants were "Hamakko" (Closed, but used to be on Rt. 27 in Rahway?Metropark?), "Jo-sho" (Cedar Grove Lane - good but over priced), and "Ajian" (which seems to be closed).

If you know what I am talking about: know a place that is owned by a Japanese people with authentic Japanese menu, please tell me!!!!
