Places to eat around Navy Yard?

HI, I'm going to a Nationals game tomorrow and was wondering if there are any good places to grab lunch? I'm looking for something in the $10-20 range. Thanks.

Dinner and music.

Forgot about that....yes, I am looking for live music. Cuban music sounds good; any good jazz places with good food? Thanks again. I love this board!

Can anyone recommend a restaurant/ bar in the city that has a good offering of both?

Italian restaurant for two.

My wife and I are visiting the city this week and would like some recommendations on any nice Italian restaurants. I am sure there are a lot in the city; so we are looking for the following:

- reasonably priced; anywhere from $15 - 25 per person

- we would like to stay above 34th St if possible. We are staying on the East side, but would not mind traveling crosstown.

- we are NOT looking for a really formal atmosphere; just something quiet and laid back with good service.

Thanks in advance!!

Ali Baba restaurant on East 34th....

My wife and I have been wanting to try some Turkish food and we are thinking of taking her parents here. How is the atmosphere and service, in addition to the food? Thanks in advance!

Calling detectives; help needed with Thai restaurant..

Ding ding ding!!! We have a winner...I did some google web and image searches and there is no doubt in my mind that Pongsri Thai is it! I'm going to go there soon and hopefully it will be as good as it was four years ago. Thanks to all who helped! If anyone is interested, below is the link that solidly confirmed it:

Come to think of it...maybe it was between W40th and W56th streets. Oh man...this is killing me. I'll have to venture up there and check out those places you mentioned.Maybe it will ring a bell. Thanks for your help though...I appreciate it.

Calling detectives; help needed with Thai restaurant..

...about 4 years ago, I went to a Thai restaurant somewhere between E40th and E56th Street. Not only can I not remember what street is was on, but I cannot remember the name of the restaurant. All I know is that the food was excellent and the restaurant was right next to a salon/barber shop/spa. From a picture I have, there is a barber's pole visible in the picture. Unfortunately, one of my friend's head is in the way of the address for the place:-) Any help or guesses would be appreciated.

First time visitors to Boston...

Thanks for all your suggestions. We had a wonderful time in Boston even though it was a little on the chilly side! We ate at Dok Bua for Thai...I had the Pad-Bai-Gra-Pow (basil + chiles). Basil always does wonders to food. We also ate at the Union Oyster House; it was also very good. We saw many other restaurants that will probably have to wait until our next visit:-(

Thanks again!!

Oh...I almost forgot...we tried out Veggie Planet in Harvard Square. We got the Unsafe n'Sound pizza...outstanding!!

We're from the NY/NJ area.

Thanks all...we're going to have a hard time picking from the above, but I'm sure it will be good wherever we end up. Have a great day!

First time visitors to Boston...

My wife and I are going to be in Boston this weekend (Saturday - Monday) and would like to hear of some good places to eat. We're looking for:

1. Thai food
2. Any Chinese place with great Wonton Soup
3. A good clam chowder place.

If you could also let us know which station on the T would be closest to any of the above, that would be appreciated as well. Thanks!! We appreciate it.
