DC Food Itinerary - What am I missing?

Bistrot Au Coin is a real french bistro, steak and frites style, but won't scare the kids. We Washingtonians don't really want to tell anyone about this place, it is our little secret.

Across the street and down one block from the Hilton on Connecticut above Dupont Circle.

1 Dinner in D.C. - What's Your Favorite?

Within walking distance: Circle Bistro in the Hotel at 1 Washington Circle, tho' I hesitate to tell you about it as this has been a private haunt of my for 20 years. The management has a gift for hiring young chefs just before they break out and start their own 5 star restaurants. I've never had a bad meal here in 20 years of dining and 6 chefs. They treat a solo diner as a guest rather than a refugee.

Great dinner in Tysons Corner area?

The Legal Seafood at Tyson's 2 has predictably good seafood and the best raw oysters in the mid-Atlantic.

Visiting DC, Any must-try street food/ cheap eats to reccomend?

Martin's Tavern in Georgetown isn't Metro-able but worth a cab ride. It is an institution in the city and the Hot Brown is legendary. I love the Welsh Rarebit. Old-fashioned menu and so are the prices. http://www.martins-tavern.com/menu/dinner.asp

Food Network: Canada vs US?

In spite of his continual disdain, Bourdain has arrived at FN-US, 10:30 EST on Tuesdays, in an unfortunate vehicle called "A Cook's Tour" which displays every unfortunate character flaw he has. He's much cooler than you are, dontcha know, and in 30 minutes takes advantage of every opportunity to demonstrate it.
