2 South Beach Questions
Firstly, thank you to all who responded to my earlier post (waaay earlier, probably in the winter). As a result of that very helpful feedback, I decided to book at Sustain and was very excited to eat there. Unfortunately, they called me yesterday to say they could not honour the reservation because they are/were closing. So, the questions are:
1. We were thinking of attempting Barceloneta as an alternative; however, I understand it does not take reservations. How long of a wait would we expect on a Monday at around 8ish? Is there a bar on the premises to loiter at while we wait for a table?
2. Any suggestions for cheap and cheerful breakfast places within walking distance of Collins and 18th? Something like a diner, bagel joint or that idea.
With advanced thanks, I look forward to any responses.
Seeking input on some options - Sustain v Yardbird and some others - With thanks!
I appreciate your thoughts! Thanks so much.

Dear Miami - Ft. Lauderdale Board -
I will be coming down to Miami for 3 nights with 2 friends soon. Last year our favorite dining choice was Sugarcane. This year I am considering:
Sustain and/or Yardbird as our "Miami" place (in my mind this means it is not an outpost of a restaurant that I can eat at elsewhere).
In the past, I have also eaten at Michael's Genuine.
We will be down on a Sat, Sun and Mon night and we do like to be in a lively environment. Although I know there are mix feelings on actual food quality, we did have fun at Prime 112 last year as a kick off on our first night.
Is it advisable to eat at a more local place on Saturday and then save a hotel option, such as Hakkasan (which is know is an outpost, but I have no immediate plans to be in London!) for Sunday or Monday? Any input is greatly appreciated?
I have also had Michy's on my list for many years - do I put that back on?
Thanks in advance.
Seeking advice: Wynwood Kitchen vs Michy with a consideration of Sra Martinez thrown in
Ok. It seems that the full consensus is to eliminate Wynwood Kitchen. It is too bad that we will not be there on a second Saturday of the month, as that seems like a really nice opportunity to check out Wynwood. I will look up Joey's.
Thanks to all and of course, any additional suggestions are welcome. I have switched Saturday night to Sra Martinez.

Seeking advice: Wynwood Kitchen vs Michy with a consideration of Sra Martinez thrown in
Hi - I will be in Miami at the end of April with 2 girlfriends. I am debating between Wynwood Kitchen and Michy's, but also considering Sra Martinez. My initial inclination is to pick Wynwood for Saturday night and then Sra Martinez for Sunday. That way, we will get to see the Wynwood District and also the Design District. I know I could do Michy's on Sat night and then Michael's Genuine on Sunday and accomplish the same destinations; however, I have already been to Michael's. Any comments, ideas or suggestions would be welcome.
Finally (as an off topic related indulgence) can anyone clarify whether the Betsey is on or off the beach? Either way, does it have bar service at the beach...there, I managed to get it back on topic to food!
Thank you very much in advance.
Out of towner seeking advice for a business lunch
Ok. Thanks for the input so far.
Given that the general consensus is that patio = hot and sweaty in a business suit, I would welcome ANY suitable suggestion nearby the area I initially mentioned. Once again, I thank you!
Out of towner seeking advice for a business lunch
I am coming to Minneapolis to take some colleagues out for lunch. I was thinking that a patio might be a nice summer option. The suggestions I have so far are:
-2012 (at the art centre)
-Masa
-Vincent
The people that I am taking work near South Seventh Street and Marquette Ave South.
2012 seems great, nice setting and delicious seeming food; however, I am concered that it maybe too far from downtown.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much in advance.
deciding between Michael's Genuine, Michy's or Sra Martinez?
Thanks to all for the input. I had a great dinner there on Saturday night comprised of the ceviche and the burrata and tomato salad. Interestingly, I was seated at the back at the "chef's bar". It turned out to be a good options though, as I could watch all the action in the kitchen.
deciding between Michael's Genuine, Michy's or Sra Martinez?
I will be visiting in Miami near Collins just south of 69th. Taking a taxi is not an issue. The above are the three dinner options that I am considering for a Saturday night. I am torn between the three. Most likely, I will have an opportunity to visit the Design District during the day at some point. Aside from the food, any insights as to which place may be more amenable to a solo dinner? Sometimes, I prefer to sit at the bar if the table atmosphere seems too intense.
Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
Decisions, decisions...Megu or Matsugen?
Any input on the above would be most appreciated. Also, would people recommend dining at the bar or a table? I will be solo, so sometimes I prefer the bar.
Thanks.
Suggestions for Tribeca, please -
A) an awesome breakfast (casual w good eggs) place
and
B) a cocktail lounge for pre dinner drinks that hopefully would not be totally dead on Dec 25
Thanks!
Hip and delicious kosher?! In Miami/South Beach.
Thanks to all of you. I will check these suggestions out...of course, if anyone comes across and additional ideas, I would be pleased to hear about them.
Hip and delicious kosher?! In Miami/South Beach.
I will be in Miami on a "girls getaway". My friend is kosher (I am not). I want to make sure we get to some really fun places, as she will be on break from 4 kids. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The only other thing that I can think of is seeing if I could persuade a regular place to cater-in a kosher airplane style meal.
Thanks in advance.

Casual dinner on Queen West (w of Bathurst, e of Shaw)
Looking for ideas for a casual dinner located nearby the above captioned location. As much as I love NOCE, that is too serious for this particular Sat. night. There is about 8 people. Thanks.
MINNEAPOLIS - Suggestions for business lunch near Wells Fargo Center.

MINNEAPOLIS - Suggestions for business lunch near Wells Fargo Center.
I will be hosting a lunch for approximately 12 professionals and would like to take them to a great (yet business appropriate) lunch venue. I guess it should be close enough to walk to or otherwise convenient to get to. I have NEVER been to Minneapolis before and have no resources to call upon. These are an important client and I believe that at least one of them has a passion for restaurants.
Thank you very much for any ideas.
