Green Pea Guacamole Recipe

This thing set off a Twitter storm. So glad to know Obama and Jeb Bush have time to tell me how to eat dip.

Masterchef returns with new judge

I get for the sake of time they only show the top 3 dishes out of the first challenge. But it seems like they could show the judging of all the dishes in the elimination challenge surely.

Looks like the Chicago Tribune interviewed Dan to see why he left. They didn't get anything else other than it's personal

I checked out Dan's FB (not a friend tho) and twitter. Nothing on FB (that I can see as a non friend) but on twitter he posted a pic in New Orleans and had lots of fans begging him to tell them why he left. There were no answers.

When Shelly gets taken out I won't feel bad for her at all.

Is Pizza Hut's New ‘Hot Dog Pizza’ Actually Pizza? An Investigation

Well they tried doing more upscale pizza with custom sauces and crusts and that was a bust for their market, so why not go low brow?

If the pigs in blankets have cheese inside, with the pretzel crust... i'm not going to say I'll try it, but if you had picky kids to feed, that might be a fun compromise.

agreed. I was like.... hey.... is he wearing a T=shirt?? Just a plain ol' T-shirt? Guess he wasn't on the schedule to cause drama this week. Will be interested to see what he's wearing next time he's in the drama spotlight.

I guess Jesse's crab soup must have tasted fabulous, because it sure looked greasy and oily, and the salad looked sad. was surprised we saw so little of Katrina this episode

Hell's Kitchen finale spoilers

Even with T getting the benefit of first pick. She wasted it on Milly. Milly would give T 100% She should have strategized a bit. Everyone knew Michelle was kind of a fan girl of Megan, and was a hell of a thing in the kitchen. I'm surprised she didn't snipe her

This whole bunch (after they weeded the obvious cannon fodder) seemed like a pretty good group. I liked the joking around with Gordon as the credits ran.

Well I can't say I'm surprised at all. As soon as T won the "challenge" at the beginning I knew her fate was sealed.

Hell's Kitchen finale spoilers

Okay no spoilers here, yet, but thought I'd make a new post for the last episode of the show for discussion.

As BuddyTV.com has it in their precede: Hell's Kitchen concludes its 14th season by crowing a winner tonight. Will it be Meghan Gill, the executive chef from Roanoke, Virginia, or T Gregoire, the line cook from Atlanta, Georgia? It could be anyone's game as both contestants have earned their right to be in the finale.

For once I'd be happy with either one winning. They both seem mature and experienced. I'm leaning a little toward Meghan because she seems to have more experience really running a kitchen. But you can't count out T's ability to get along in the kitchen and possibly inspire more dedication from the people who will cook under her.

Arby's

I also liked their smokehouse brisket sandwich, and their curly fries are still the best around.

Arby's

Not exactly sure why a story that happened at a one time stop in 1993 is worth a post, but, in general I think Arby's currently has some of the best and innovative sandwiches and sides on the market. They are a huge step up from how they were just a few years ago. Unfortunately their price point has gone up as well for the premium sandwiches, but its a nice product for what it is.

how do couples handle dinner?

My current boyfriend has no interest in cooking, altho he is happy to help out when I give him a task to do, even if it is something he's never done before. (Like cleaning fresh green beans, or setting up the charcoal grill to do offset smoking). Haven't considered doing a weekly menu with him but that's a fun idea if he would be interested. We usually eat together only 3-4 nights a week tho, do to our offset work schedules. Shopping-wise I handle general food, he handles things that he specifically wants to eat or drink that I don't buy (like chips or coffee).

Chimps are no chumps: Give them an oven, they'll learn to cook

This is ridiculous. I've placed a perfectly good oven in my boyfriend's habitat for years and the most he's learned is to tear open a box of my cereal.

I know right? Us old women should get to program this crap.

I like my cinnamon roll served warm by a semi-nude young man. but that's neither here nor there. But would make an interesting challenge. Go out to the single bars... find a server willing to present your roll.... you have 45 minutes. Go!

Masterchef returns with new judge

I did see them making it and kneading it. To be fair, I did google "one hour cinnamon rolls" and there are recipes out there for that. I don't think I would care for them, and those recipes don't include the toppings and slamming them steaming hot into a closed box either.

I need six hours at a minimum to make a good cinnamon roll, cook it, cool it and then frost it. Not slam some non yeast crap dough in hot from the oven into a closed box to let it humidfiy all its glazes and become a spongy mess.

I figured when it got down to Miss Vintage or Guy now with a vendetta against shy heavier girl, Miss Vintage would have to go. We need to sell this drama of the fight between Fashion dude and Shy unstylish girl.

Also her bangs made me want to cry for all the Aqua Net destroyed.

Masterchef returns with new judge

I can't figure out how they made cinnamon rolls and cooked them in 45 minutes. I'm guessing it wasn't a yeast dough?

Masterchef returns with new judge

I make cinnamon rolls maybe 5 or 6 times a year. I have a tried and true recipe i always go to. If someone just dumped me in a kitchen and told me to make them without my recipe could I do it? No. I could probably get half way close with basic ratios, but nowhere near what I could do with my tested recipe. So either they are giving them a base recipe / class like they do in aussie/New zealand MC but just not showing it or this is a crock of bullshit.

How do you deal with the compulsive need for everyone to like your food?

I cry at night when I'm alone. Sometimes I dress up like a pretty pretty princess.

Hell's Kitchen starts again tonight-does anyone care?

I thought the broken up crab and lobster in risotto would be hard, and then the fish would be hard, just because i don't eat that much fish.
