Cape May Area Eats
Forget about Wildwood except for Mack's Pizza on the Boardwalk.
Other than that I have never had an exceptonal meal at Wildwood.
All of the good dinning choices are in Cape May.
For a top notch breakfast try the Mad Batter.
For great Mexican/south westen try Gecko's.
It is BYOB which can save you a bundle and the prices are very reasonable.
The Ebbit room will not allow a 10 month old child, If you can find a sitter it is one of the best Goumet restaurants at the cape.
Also exceptional gourmet can be had at Axelson's blue claw and they do have a child's menu so kid's are OK.
At long last upscale Delicious Chinese dining in the Easton Pa area!

At long last upscale Delicious Chinese dining in the Easton Pa area!
After years of nothing but mediocre store fronts restaurants and Hog slop Buffets there is finally a traditional Chinese restaurant without traveling an hour away.
The decor is modern and beautiful and even more importantly the food is delicious and cooked to perfection. The prices are incredibly low for the quality of the food. The most expensive dinner is only $12.95! They even have some of the more exotic dishes that you can only find in Chinatown. This place is hidden away in a little shopping center off Cedarville road. It is just past the two huge fireworks stores TNT and Phantom fireworks.
If you are coming from NJ take Rt 78 west. It is the first exit in PA # 75 Right after the toll both.
If you love excellent Chinese food please get to this place immediately.
Don't let a hidden gem like this disappear.
Moustache- Middle Eastern in Lambertville
This place has been closed for over 3 weeks.
Does anyone know if it is going to re-open?
Miss Wo Hing's Fried Dumplings
Thanks, these were quite good , but nothing like the old giant Suey Kow
Miss Wo Hing's Fried Dumplings
Ok , I tried 69's version . They were quite good , they even serve them with oyster sauce but also deep fried and not pan fried.
I tried to get them to Pan fry them for me , but they would not.
They are the closest thus far
Ixora Closed
Do not go to Jan's.
It is HORRIBLE!!
Some of the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten.
Ixora was so much better there is no comparison
Miss Wo Hing's Fried Dumplings
I should add that they called them Suey Kow.
I found them at Wo Hop this week.
They were similar , but deep fried not pan fried and no oyster sauce drizzle,
So I took some steamed ones go back home and prepared them the way I like.
Close but I guess you can't go back.
I see that 69 also has Suey Kow on their menu. I will try them soon.
Miss Wo Hing's Fried Dumplings
Wo Hing was a fantastic Cantonese restaurant located on Pell st in NYC Chinatown.
They have been gone for more than 10 years, I believe Jo's Ginger is in their old location
Wo Hing made the most incredible fried dumplings.
They were huge and pan fried on one side .
Crispy on one side, soft almost a steamed texture on the other.
They were drizzled with oyster sauce and served I believe 5 0r six on a large plate.
They were nothing like the soup dumplings that are all the rage these days.
Does anyone know of any other restaurant that serves dumplings that are anything like these classics from Wo Hing???
Amazing 66 -- new in Chinatown
Well I went to Amazing 66 today and was greatly underwellemd.
Nothing there was exceptionally bad, but not at all what I expect when eating in Chinatown.
I ordered the following:
Fried dumplings- bad texture and mediocre flavor with a very poor dipping sauce.
The sauce tasted like some pre-mixed mass produced salty mess from a bottle rather than mixed at the restaurant. I suspect that the dumpling were not made there either.
They reminded me of the supermarket frozen variety.
Sautéed Chinese Broccoli- Way too much garlic . overpowered the flavor of the broccoli, no presentation it was sloppily thrown about in an inappropriate serving dish.
Beef Chow fun "Dry"
It came out swimming in gravy with Yuck- canned baby corns, carrots and American broccoli although the noodle texture was ok. and flavor was not bad for American Broccoli, but it is not what I come to Chinatown for.
Sizzling Platter chicken with black bean sauce. This was the last dish to come out.
They either forgot to heat the metal platter or the dish was sitting back for too long and lost all of its sizzle.
The meats in the two dishes had no consistency , The sizes were of the cuts were all over the place .
We sat in the first table near the front window and I stared longingly at Big Wong across the street wishing we were dining there.
We took most of our food to go and went to another restaurant and had a great Malaysian dinner.
