Lil' Masters Grille in Fair Haven

Looked like they're closed or closing. Anyone know anything?

Best Breakfast Monmouth County

North Beach Grill in Long Branch, Steve's and River Front Cafe in Sea Bright, and for the best pancakes around try the Broadway Diner in Red Bank. also Felecia's in Little Silver.

Woody's in Sea Bright

My wife and I went Tuesday and sat at the bar. Very nice, comfortable and open. They have a Tuesday special called Baja Tuesday. For $15 you get a choice from the slider or taco menus and a glass of wine or a Crush, their signature drink in either orange or ruby. We chose the fish tacos and ruby crush. Both were excellent and well priced. Will return.

Visiting Portsmouth, NH

I'll second Beach Pea. I don't see much on Green Monkey. Have always had excellent meals there. Did Brazo once and it was good. And what about Bob's?

Anyone ever try the Navesink Fishery?

I'm interested in your oyster comment. I have been very satisfied with oysters from Lusty Lobster. Have you tried them?

Anyone ever try the Navesink Fishery?

Haven't been lately. The food has always been very good but no atmosphere. It's the back of a fish market. I love the grouper francaise.

Nicholas 11th Anniversary Dinner

Mr. Bing - Now that's funny. I couldn't figure out the reference to self-proclaimed sophisticates or Rumson, but now I get it. Thanks.

Before dinner drinks

Price not an issue. view or something special would be of interest.

Before dinner drinks

Looking for a nice place hopefully with a view to have a cocktail or two before dinner in midtown (51st/52nd between 5th and 7th).

Fish! - Asbury Park

fvc - wake up. no one said it was the best. best would be Nicholas, Bay Ave, Fromagerie. better would be Yumi, What's Your Beef, Dish, FISH is very good for what it was last night - excellent $5 apps and some drinks.

Fish! - Asbury Park

sorry Justice. I found just the opposite. Granted we took advantage of the Happy Hour app specials at $5. But the manager was attentive. We had a nice, brief chat about the place. The fish taco and lobster mac and cheese were excellent. It was not loud. We got a nice vibe from the place. It was early in the evening. What is much better on the shore?

Fish! - Asbury Park

Went to FISH last night and found it to be delightful. We sat at the bar and enjoyed $5 apps which are available until 7:00pm. The fish taco and lobster mac and cheese were especially good. Also had a few oysters which were excellent.

Fromagerie Rumson still meh

We had a similar experience for Christmas Eve dinner and will not be returning. There are plenty of very good places in Monmouth County to enjoy a meal. It's too bad because they used to be good and I enjoyed the vibe there.

Best of Metromix Jersey Shore 2011

what a joke. who picks the nominees? P.T Barnum?

Dish ~ Red Bank

Sockster - I agree with all you say. I've noticed the same feeling; however, the last time there we sat by the window and felt better about the experience. BAT has no atmosphere but the staff makes you feel welcome and special.

Dish ~ Red Bank

I saw a sign in the window last week with the $25 offer.

Surf Taco coming to Red Bank

not familiar with surf. is that a good thing?

Fine Dining Near Squaw Peak Resort

We will be at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort next week and would like suggestions for fine dining nearby. Thanks

New Jersey's best burgers: Where Are They Now?

New Jersey's best burgers: Where Are They Now?

LOBSTER

another vote for Lusty. The only place in NJ to go for Maine lobsters.

CIBO, Red Bank

Anyone know where in Red Bank/Middletown? Is it a new location?

Ama Restaurant - Atlantic Highlands, NJ

We dined at Ama last night for maybe our third time. The food has been consistantly excellent and I have never had a problem with the service. I love that the chef always has some specials that feature season fare. Last night I had a salad with figs. I tend to go with my favorite pasta dish, but two at our table had the swordfish and reported four thumbs up. As for the stale breadsticks (I notice the post is almost a year old) I can report that Ama now has the best bread in ALL of northern Monmouth County. We were informed that it comes in daily from the Brooklyn Bread Company and if you want a loaf or two, just call the day before and they will add it to their order. I will say that as good as the food is it is expensive.

Difficult group of ten looking for fabulous BYO between exits 116 and 138 on GS Parkway

If BYO is not a requirement, then Boulevard 572 in Kenilworth would be my choice. They have a very nice wine room which would be perfect for a group of ten. And the food is top notch.

Jersey Shore Restaurant Week - Nov 5-14

I don't see Sawa on the list. May try Doris & Ed's.

Burgers Near Red Bank

Someone recently told me about a place near Red Bank to get a great burger, but in a senior moment I've forgotten it. The wife doesn't like Barnicle Bills (says its too dirty) and Five Guys is OK but only once in a while. Looking for a nice place to enjoy a glass of beer or wine and a really good burger. I miss Bella's.

Jersey Shore Homemade Ice Cream?

If you're in Northern Monmouth County try Ryan's in Shrewsbury or Wilson's in Long Branch. Where in LS is Hoffman's?

Falafel near Kenilworth

Thanks. I'll give it a try next week.
