Supper Clubs in WNC

Hi,
I'm looking for supper clubs in WNC. Could also be brunch or lunch clubs -- basically foodies gathering together to host meals in their homes. Could be gourmet, could be rustic...whatever. Could be that the host cooks everything, or different people bringing different courses. Has any one heard of such groups? (Besides Slow Food Asheville; know about that one.) Thanks for any ideas.

Pomegranate on Main - Greenville, SC

I was excited to try this place for lunch. It was enjoyable, but kind of Nouveau Persian. It lacked intense flavors and was rather bland for what it could have been. Flavors seemed oversimplified. I thought with a lot of internationals living in G'ville there would be appreciation for the full-on flavor of ethnic foods.

Asheville eats - Sugo, Manny's and Paris Bakery

Paris Bakery has changed hands from when it was on upper Merrimon. new owner is also French.

Thirsty Monk - Asheville

Great variety of beers...even for those who don't love beer. I had a Kriek brown ale made with cherry juice. May sounds like blasphemy, but incredibly tasty and refreshing. Caveats: too noisy with even just a few people, decor is sparse (get some more stuff on the walls, or put up shelving with Belgian and beer ephemera on 'em), bench seating uncomfortable (it's too high for the tables), could use some background music, and some clarification whether you wait for a server or go up to the bar would be nice. A ways to go...but will no doubt be a good hangout with some quality beers.
