do I really need reservations?
I'm a Chicago native living in LA, but I will be back in town for 2 full weeks on business and am looking forward to trying some new restaurants on the company dime. here's my question: since I will be likely working long hours, I don't want to make reservations in advance and have to cancel.. which great restaurants would I be able to get into, maybe with a party of 2 or 3 on a weeknight?
I'm looking specifically at Frontera/Topolobompo, Blackbird, Sepia, Mercat... but open to other suggestions.

pizza party for 100
hi everyone,
i'm a chicago native now living in LA. i'm trying to plan a post-elopement party for our friends and family back in chicago. nothing fancy - we would be totally happy with pizza, beef sandwiches, italian sausage and beer. as long as it's a place we can either rent out the whole restaurant or with a large party room. any suggestions? doesn't matter what area since our people are spread out across the city and 'burbs.
