Quorn in Buffalo Area?

Hi there, I'm a Canadian looking for the best place to buy Quorn products in near Buffalo. Since we can't get it up here I make the occasional Quorn run to stock up and was hoping for recommendations as to a store that carries a good variety.

Thanks,
moggie

Looking for a caterer in Sauble Beach

I don't know if Paul Johnston caters, but it's worth a call to Grosvenors to see. Maybe he can reccomend a caterer in Southampton?

What's your favorite chewing gum?

Thrills is hands down the best gum! It is only available in Canada, but you could probably find it on line.

Thrills Gum: It still tastes like soap!

What's your favorite chewing gum?

Again you can get the Adams fruit stripe at Sugar Mountain in Canada. I wasn't able to find their catalogue on line, but a google search came back with a few hits.

What's your favorite chewing gum?

FWIW, you can still get Freshen up gum in specialized Candy stores in Canada. Sugar Mountain has it.

vegetarian chinese restaurant suggestions

I second Jean's Veg kitchen. The food is fantastic and very flavourful.

Lunch place for large group, North york

It looks like Milestones is our closest bet, they can seat us in the downstairs bar area. It's not ideal, but with a few drinks I'm sure it'll seem fine. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions! I've checked and none of them can accomodate us. It's short notice and the holiday season. :(

Hey Raquel,

We are at Yonge and 401, but anywhere in a ten minute drive would be fine.

Just a few thoughts.

Lunch place for large group, North york

Hey there,

I am looking for a place to take a largeish group (16-20) for lunch somewhere in or around North York. It's for a 50th birthday for a work collegue and it's really last minute... Oh and it has to have at least one vegetarian option... Any suggestions?

jicama

Try heading to the Byward Market Fruit and Veg. Issac and Miriam have a fantastic selection of interesting treats! The first place I ever found chermoya, rambutans, fresh lychees and all sorts of other interesting fruits.

BEST Cheap Samosas

It's on Kerr street in the same mall as the Organic Garage. They have a whole selection of Brar sweets too

Saskatoon Berries in Toronto?

I saw some at the brickworks farmer's market last weekend.

Best Doughnuts in Toronto

I second Zehr's! Zehr's still does their own donuts and they are much fresher than the supposed donut shops.

BEST Cheap Samosas

Best Samosa's in GTA are at Golden Grocer's in Oakville. Hand's down.

Wazema (Ethiopian on Danforth) - Brief Review

I have to recommend Rendevous on Danforth. The veggie combo is fantastic and changes frequently, favourites are the collard greens, the cabbage and a chickpea dumpling that I've only managed to find once.

My partner who eats meat is fond of the Zil Zil tibbs.

I've eaten at Dukem, the Ethiopian House, and a a few in Ottawa and I think Rendevous ranks right up at the top.

Best Roti in TO?

A good place for Trini style Roti in East York is Danforth Roti at 2844 Danforth. They have a fantastic, almost sweet, hot sauce that they add if you tell them you like it hot. The doubles are always fresh as well.

Must eat in Ottawa

I agree with Domus but would like to throw in Benny's Bistro as a suggestion. It's in the back of the French Baker.
