Weekday Lunch Date
I chose Asiate, location was convenient and my date is not such a foodie, so I thought she would enjoy the "wow" view. We were seated at a window table and the view was spectacular, as advertised. Service was attentive, yet not intrusive. Food was nicely plated, heirloom tomato salad appetizer was good, lamb entree was edible, but disappointing. Two courses, plus a glass of wine ($19 per glass, ouch) & cappucino for each of us came to $125, tax & tip included. The experience was very satisfying to the eye, less so for the palate.
Next time, I'm going to Perry St.

Wine Bar for Discussion Group
I am part of a group that reads a book each month, then goes out for dinner & discusses it. We'd like to try a wine bar, a place not too dark or too noisy to hold our discussion. I would greatly appreciate your suggestions.
