Late Night/ All Night Eats

Besides Beth's Cafe in Greenlake... what are some other recommended late night/ all night places to eat? I am open to a wide range of places, locations, and types of food. The only requirement is that it has to be delicious eats.

Anyone been to CANLIS lately?

I was just there on 3/22 with my family who live out of town and we had one of the most amazing meals. Not only is the service right on, but the food was decadent and delicious. Some dishes that should not be missed would be there specialty Canlis salad, Day Boat Scallops, and truffle fries. We also really enjoyed the freshness of the seafood served (I had the specialty of the night which was halibut as well as there tuna app.). Also for any steak lovers, you should ask for there mushrooms to go with it. Take the time and order the soufflé for dessert. And with any meal that you are going to already be spending the money on, look at the wine selection, ask for suggestions, and pair your meal with an amazing bottle.

Love letter to Quinn's

My family was in town this weekend and we decided to go there Sunday night for dinner. Due to the fabulous beer selection and non-rushed atmosphere, my family ended up drinking, eating, and talking there for over 2.5 hrs. As for the food, there was not one negative thing to say from my family who ate everything from the grilled romaine salad (my favorite) to the fish and chips, to the bone marrow, to the burger, to much more (there was nine of us total). Everything was AMAZING!! This was my third visit to Quinns and I vow to bring ANYONE looking for a great meal, in a non-pretentious atmosphere here.

any recs for two 'hounds visiting Seattle from L.A.??

I agree Linda's is always a good choice! But if you are on Capitol Hill for Quinns and Linda's you should check out Chapel (esp at Happy Hour) for some amazing martinis. Chapel is hard to find (in a not well marked old mortuary) and can come across as pretentious, but well worth the tasty drinks that are produced.

Kirkland Grill and Bar

I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for a quality, low key, and relaxing restaurant to try in Kirkland. A friend of my mine strongly suggests The Game.... any comment on this place or any other?!?!

Cafe Presse - Le Pichet in Chicago

I would agree about checking out the Chicago board, but also go to www.metromix.com. This website gives great information about restaurants and events going on in and around Chicago. You can also narrow down your search to cuisine, neighborhood, and price range.

I am from Chicago and can tell you that there are many amazing French restaurants, the only problem is that the ones in the city can be larger and not as quaint as Le Pichet or Cafe Presse. For the intimacy aspect (plus the quality food) I would suggest Bistro Zinc and Bistro Margaux. But I would also have to highly suggest some of the more flashy French fare too (like KiKi's)!
But one thing that Chicago DOES have that Seattle is COMPLETELY lacking is the availability to have high quality authentic Italian. While in Chicago, fall in love with the Italian food readily available.

One MUST Try Place (SEA)

I am looking for that one MUST try restaurant in Seattle. I would like a suggestion of a place with a view and preferably up scale restaurant. I am having guests in town and would like to stun them with an unforgettable dinner.

Bakery in Western Suburbs?

I am from LaGrange and craved for the weekend when we would get Kirshbaum donuts. I not longer live in Chicago but still to this day look forward to returning home to eat those yummy treats. No matter what you are looking for (cake, cookie, coffee cake, breads...) it is all about Kirschbaums.

Authentic Seattle

Do you have a favorite Pho place?

Authentic Seattle

When people keep talking about places to try they mention "authentic Seattle" as a comparison. What places are great, tried and true "authentic Seattle" restaurants that out of towners and locals alike must eat at?

March Madness [SEA]

Sorry.... yes I am talking about Seattle!

March Madness [SEA]

Where is a good place to go to watch all the activities of March Madness? I have family coming into town, and my brother is a big basketball junky whose only request was to go to a bar with good beer and food.

Recs for Best Greek Restaurant - Seattle

I would second the Continental. No glitz or glamor, its just down right good food!

Best Sunday Brunch (SEA)

So I am currently looking for the knock-out best Sunday Brunch in Seattle. To me there are two categories for brunch. There is the good and hearty order off the menu type place and then there are the buffets. Suggestions for both are more than welcomed.
