There are more than just hi and defrost settings on a microwave.
most people when reheating something will just toss it in the mic and hit 1 min.. the edges will get hot the middle might get lightly warm and they do another minute. then the edges are over done and middle is finally hot.
for single sized portions, try using the 50% setting with 3 or 4 minutes . works wonders to heat everything fairly evenly. if it isn't warm enough, the entire dish is at least similarly warmed that 20-60 seconds more on high will make it plenty hot enough.

one thing you have to remember is that the whole situation of the worms being something that might disgust you now is that before you saw them or heard about them, you ate the fish with no negative apprehensiveness. and for the group talking about tilapia, the same thing. It is called fear and is a learned thing as you get older. When you are a little kid you are bold and dangerous but as you get older you learn that some things are dangerous and you lose the fearless mindset more and more and succumb to doing less and less. If you did it before, no reason to change you habits unless it is life threatening..
live life now because it is so short and you cant live it after you are dead! lol

Skirt Steak! what to do? what to do?
hangar and skirt steaks are cuts from the stomach area. you don't see many hangar steaks because this is usually ground up into hamburger. the reason skirt steak has gotten so expensive is because it has become a very popular cut with the increase in use for fajitas and tacos. If you can not find skirt and hangar steaks when you go to the store. ask your butcher to cut them the next time the butcher a side of beef. if no one is asking for these cuts, they just grind em with all the other less savory cuts for burger or stew meat.
canning question - why do my jars tip over?
you are not filling the jars full enough. they have too much air and the buoyancy is lifting them out of the holder and allowing them to fall over.

Wood Chips For Smoking
if you have a bass pro shop around, go try the Jack Daniels wood chips. If you like Jack, you will surely like the flavor these chips impart upon whatever you smoke... WARNING!!! don't stick your nose into the bag and smell unless you want to pass out from the extremely good smell.

Fried Tomatoes
I absolutely love fried green tomatoes. I just last night plucked two off the vine and was eating them within 20 mins. I had to call my mom and brag about it. It is a shame that regular grocery stores don't sell green tomatoes.
I'm going to have to try the gravy from the fried tomato scraps. Never heard of it but it sounds delicious!

I have found them recently at Safeway in colorado. They were on sale with alot of other flavored bits, ie oreo cookie, reeses, snickers, etc...
