Recommendations for the Stroudsburg/Camel Back Ski resort area
As you can see from the number of replies, this is a culinary wasteland. The only two places I can think of are Tokyo Teahouse in Pocono Summit and the Edelweiss in Pocono Lake.
York's best for a business dinner?
I wonder if Joe's is still in business. Great restaurant with an emphasis on mushrooms. Very pleasant ambiance and great food. Expensive.
Nazareth
Any recommendations for good restaurants in or near (10 miles) Nazareth PA?

I have no real knowledge of celiac, but it seems as though all of a sudden everybody's being diagnosed with it. Reminds me of the hypoglycemia panic in the 1970's. These ailments seem to be like fads that come and go. Just a thought.

You list "true NY/NJ bagel", but I have lived in NJ for 33 years and have yet to find a decent bagel. People in NJ think bigger bagels are better bagels. Every time I'm in Manhattan I stop by H&H and load up. If anyone knows of a good bagel place in NJ I'd love to hear about it.

This is the Chowhound website, right? I'm a relative newcomer, but doesn't the "chow" in "chowhound" imply relatively inexpensive food? Masa? I am not a billionaire.
Thanks anyway.

Did I forget to mention my wife? Oops.
But thanks anyway for the kind words. You are indeed a kindred spirit.
Best "destination" restaurants in the USA
I'm retiring soon and would like to eat my way throughout the USA. In the past, I've often gone to restaurants with many great menu items, but because of limited time (usually one meal) I wan't able to sample them all.
With plenty of time when I retire, I'm wondering what are the best "destination restaurants" in the USA? By "destination" I mean those that I would visit for a few days - stay in a nearby motel - and dine at a number of times.
A few that come to mind are Doe's Eat Place (Mississippi) and Mosca's (outside New Orleans ~ interesting article about it in the Nov. 22 New Yorker).
Thanks in advance for suggestions!

What town is Bistro 55 in? I've never heard of it - sounds interesting.
North Jersey Barbecue
You consider Brooklyn's pizza "forgettable"? Wow.
How about Pimaan in Emerson for Thai? It's as good as any I've had in NYC.
Petit Soochow in Cliffside Park - great Chinese.

Kinchley's in Ramsey is close to Rt. 17. Good thin crust pizza.
Sonny & Tony's in Mahwah ( about 1/2 mile off Rt. 17) has great pasta fagiola and escarole & bean soups.
The rest is all chains and diners.
Oysters / raw bar in Cape Ann ?
Any good/inexpensive places for oysters on the half shell in Cape Ann? I had some at Latitude in Gloucester and they were nice but VERY expensive.
Thanks!

We're off to Cape Ann for a week in Sept and know all the best clam places. We're also aware of the "fancy" spots - Duckworth's etc. Anything outside of those two categories and relatively inexpensive that's worth trying?
Thanks!
Poconos restaurants? HELP!
We've been vacationing in the Poconos for years, and have yet to find a really good restaurant. Are there some that we're missing?
Thanks!
Endicott chow
