Lasagne Bolognese at LIDL

I've got a lobster in my freezer from Lidl too - mine only cost be £1.99 though! They had priced them up wrong on the freezer. Charged me £4.99 at checkout, but had to sell me it at £1.99 when I showed them the ticket on the freezer!

Dining in the in-between places (Dublin to Galway to Giant's Causeway, back to Dublin)

Another vote from me on the Bushmills Inn. I stayed for 3 or 4 nights last November when working. Cosy olde worlde hotel, real fires, lovely staff, good food. I don't like whiskey normally, but had to have a try while I was there and it was gorgeous! Definitely worth a visit.

Where to Eat in St Petersburg

Many thanks for the info.

Where to Eat in St Petersburg

Hi - my brother and sister-in-law are taking my mum to St. Petersburg in September this year, so I too would appreciate if any restaurant recommendations could be given. As my s-i-l is a vegetarian, any recommendations where good vegetarian food may be available would also help. Cheers

Corfu - Sep 2008

Hi, I'm not sure if you are actually staying in Corfu town or one of the resorts. A very popular restaurant, set in a beautiful location, is Taverna Agni, Agni Bay. It is on the N.E. coast of Corfu, between Nissaki and Kalami. Tel. no. for reservations 0030 22630 91142. If you google 'Agni Travel', it should bring you up a website with lots more information. Cheers

BENIDORM

Somewhat belatedly, just doing my expenses! O.K., couple of recommendations to follow. Although not Spanish cuisine, a lovely bar for lunch is Bar Sol on the front by Lavante Beach. Watch the world go by, drinking beer in glasses taken from the freezer. Casa Toni in central Lavante area - fish/steak restaurant. Ended up having steak as they didn't have either of my two fish choices. Quite expensive for the quantity, but it was delicious. I am not a big meat eater, but the steak was melt in the mouth. The restaurant where we ate in the old town area was La Cava Aragonesa, (Plaza de la constitucion, sn 03501 Benidorm). This was adjacent to a busy tapas bar, under the same kitchen. Cheers.

BENIDORM

Will give you a couple of recommendations when I go through my work expense receipts, so I can remember the restaurant names! Had a night in the old town with the owner of the company I was over to see and his family - went to a couple of proper tapas bars and then for a meal - it was wonderful. Had sea bass baked in salt in the restaurant, (will post restaurant name later). Benidorm was far nicer than I had expected, having never been before and I saw some lovely places while out and about the coastline.

Eating in Mallorca

Hi all - hope this website may be of use to some. My friend lives in Mallorca and e-mailed me this through this week.

BENIDORM

Will do - looks like there is a tapas area (Tapas Alley) in the old town, so will be having a wander round there. I am visiting local bars/clubs/hotels through the day on sales calls, so am sure I'll get some recommendations for where to eat.

BENIDORM

Just for info, this website is worth a look:

http://www.benidorm-spotlight.com/restaurants/wine_dine.htm

It does look like there are some good Spanish restaurants in the area. Ye hay, not just English grub!

BENIDORM

Thanks, Trev - much appreciated.

BENIDORM

Oh dear - I take it all I have to look forward to is English breakfasts and pie & chips!

BENIDORM

Hi, I am over in Benidorm for a week from 30th March on business. Can anyone recommend some nice 'Spanish' restaurants to try out for a single traveller. I am not hiring a car, so needs to be fairly local. Cheers.
