Champagne brunch in San Fransisco

It is $79 per person with free flowing sparkling wine (the Terrace at the Ritz only offers 1 free glass with the brunch)and live music.
Fresh oysters are my favorites. They did run out the last time I was there.
It is very relaxing. Go for it.

Has anyone been to Circa lately?

Eric the chef from Circa will be on the next TOP CHEF.
So will the chef from COCO500 and Myth Cafe.

where can I buy fresh flat rice noodles in the city?

I do not remember the name of the shop. I remember some chinese characters that translates to noodle factory. They will sell you the flat rice noodles by the pound(still warm) and will ask if you want them cut into strips. You will get to see the equipment that is used to make and steam the noodles. 2 to 3 maybe 4 shops to the right(going towards mission st.) of Bar Bambino.

where can I buy fresh flat rice noodles in the city?

Go to this fresh noodle shop on the 16th between Mission and South Van Ness - two shops away from Bar Bambino. Buzz them and you can buy by the pound.

Epic Roasthouse Report

Our two and half hour lunch experience was very memorable.
I had a well-made Sazerac. The oyster was only $1.75 a piece. That is a steal.
We were able to identify all 3 salts: hawaiian lava black salt, Himalayan Pink and Sel Gris. Love the wine glasses. Love the water bottle. Sambonet silverware - love it.
I love my Veal Liver with Onions and Scallops.
We enjoyed the Beignets as well as the coffee served in the french press.
We will definitely go back again.
Jan and his wife(lovely couple) were eating together and he dropped by each table to say hello.
That was nice.

Dining alone, Fri night in Union Sq

I highly recommend Westfield Mall. Go to the food court at the basement.
You can order food that is served on real china, flatware, wine serve in glass , beer and you can also pick up some food from the supermarket besides the food court. there are so many seats. after dinner you can either shop or go to the movie ; all under one roof.

chez panisse or french laundry for wedding anniversary dinner?

if i have the money, i will go to French Laundry again. that's cooking you don't do at home. you can duplicate cooking at chez panisse at home by buying the best ingredients at the right sources.
