Romantic Brunch Spots?

My wife and I decided this year to skip a Valentine's Day dinner and get brunch instead. Does anyone have any suggestions for a Romantic Brunch? I'm open to eating Manhattan, as well as Brooklyn/Queens, any cuisine.

Looking for a Recommendation for a Big Group in Park Slope tonght

Anybody have a good suggestion for a group of about 8-9 people, including 2 vegans? The vegans do not mind eating in a regular restaurant, they just need one or two options.

The only request was no Mexican, and not Ghenet. (Nothing wrong with Ghenet, was just the place we went to last time).

Was thinking Get Fresh, but I'm worried it will be too expensive. Also wanted to try Franny's but they have some message about not accepting groups larger than 6 on their website. Any other ideas?

Best Peking Duck?

I did a search in the archives for Peking Duck recommendations, expecting to find dozens, but instead I found nothing. I'm shocked. Anybody have an opinion regarding what the best Peking Duck is in the City? All I come across are mentions of Peking Duck House, some disparaging.

I'm looking to go on Father's Day, because duck is my father's favorite food.

Early Morning Weekday Breakfast/Brunch in Park Slope

Ah, that's a good suggestion. I'm fond of the Bagel place at 5th Ave and 17th street, which does have some seating. Still, something posher might be better for Euro friends...

Any Coffee Lovers Out There in Queens?

I've never had the coffee they make there recently, but I highly recommend Baruir's Coffee at 4007 Queens Blvd, at 40th Street in Sunnyside. They roast their beans using the machine at the front of the store and sell great Armenian (Turkish-style) coffee. They also sell some interesting dry fruit and whatnot.

Early Morning Weekday Breakfast/Brunch in Park Slope

Hi

I have friends coming into town for a very brief stay on their way back to Europe. Since they have to be on their way to the airport at 10AM we wanted to grab some early morning brunch somewhere. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a place that serves breakfast around 8AM-ish? We're in South Park Slope and would prefer a place we could walk to.

In Miami unexpectedly and looking for suggestions

it seems La Brioche Doree is closed for rennovations, but I did try a great Cuban place called Latin Cafe. All the Kosher spots were closed this weekend (well most of them, anyway). I'll give them a try tomorrow. Thanks for all the suggestions!

In Miami unexpectedly and looking for suggestions

We are near Mt Sinai, unfortunately.

These recommendations look great, we'll give them a try. Any suggestions for casual dinig around here? I just went for a walk, and there doesn't look like much

In Miami unexpectedly and looking for suggestions

My wife and I are in Miami Beach until Wednesday due to a medical emergency. The emergency has past, but now we are in Miami Beach with no car and no idea where to eat. Does anyone have any suggestions, ideally in walking distance from central Miami Beach?

Lucali: Good, not Great Pizza

No, I don't know the guy. I don't normally try talking to the chef when I can't get a table.

Lucali: Good, not Great Pizza

Believe me, we tried to get there at 6, but got lost.

The problem was all the empty tables. If somebody had put their name on a list, then where the heck were they? It's one thing if one or two tables had called and were on their way, but this was nearly half the restaurant empty. If these people were truly seconds away the hostess could have taken the 10 seconds to explain that, but she seemed totally uninterested in being helpful or gracious. Service is a big part of enjoying a restaurant, and this place was beyond pretentious for what should be a neighborhood pizza joint. Besides, I was there with a 7 month pregnant woman who was in no mood to wait 2 hours for a pizza.

I have eaten there before, and enjoyed it, but I'm not a sucker who returns to places where I'm treated like crap just because I like the food.

Lucali: Good, not Great Pizza

I had tried a few weeks ago to go to Lucali's and I will never go again. I arrived at 7:30 with my very pregnant wife only to be told that there was a 2 hour wait, despite the 3 unoccupied tables. Presumably, they were for people that had come early to put their name on a list. I'm sorry, but if you have a 2 hour wait for pizza then you should be taking reservations. Personally, I was insulted. I don't care how good your pizza is, I am not going to wait 2 hours for it. Ironically, we ended up walking back to the subway and stopped by Po – an equally popular restaurant that takes reservations – and got a table for 2 without a wait.
