I had a breakfast wrap there. It was food but I could not reccomend it beyond that. Coffee was OK.

Our family will be traveling from south of DC to Florida on Christmas day and I will need at least two feedings. Obviously hoping to find an OPEN non-chain, but if anybody knows a decent place to eat not too far from I95 please be forthcoming! Thanks

Best Pizza in N.J.

I checked the posts and can't believe no one listed King of Pizza in Cherry Hill-one in Berlin and somewhere else too.I don't really like pizza-I like meat-but I go in there once and return 10 times in a month. It's the only pizza I actually EVER crave. At other places I don't even finish slices-I throw them out as unsatisfying.I tried the new Tacconelli's in Moorestown-they burn the crust regularly.

I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a burger today

The Pub in Pennsauken-The Hamburger Hoedown-about 8$ for a burger done over a wood fired grill and all the fixins-I usually add 2 bowls of snapper soup-hard to find quality turtle these days. My parents went there for the hoedown after they got married-in the 50's and it's still good.

Zena's in Riverside

I have been to Zena's on Broad Street at Riverton Rd a few time over the last few weeks for breakfast and I have been very happy each time. The classic egg plate has perfectly done scrambled eggs-moist and firm with no browning at all.The homemade bread with it is great-and so are the croissants. All the bakery items are made on location and look great-I look forward to trying more. The pancakes are delicious and beautiful-real whipped cream and fresh fruit are standard. I like a good pancake and these are right up there. No bacon in the place though-wierd. The sausage is tasteless too-industrial patty. The place is nice looking but only about 8 tables.

Venuto's Old World Pizza in Washington Twp, NJ

I think it's pretty good if you get it fast-like eating it in the place. I got slices from a fresh pie and they were great-next time after 10 mins in the box I could've just eaten the box. All the talk about area pizza and no one mentions the King (of Pizza)? Still the best I think and it travels well. It's the King baby.

Yuma-great delivery on a new delivery?

I am going with dine in delivery-Hawiian bbq and Indian food-It looked to be the best/fast result. Zingerman sounded great but at 50$ for a coffee cake Emeril better show up and cook it in their kitchen. I understand about the sandwich-I have had many an inappropriate thought about a sandwich. They have been to Ciao Bella and walked out laughing-the husband said the chef came out and was asian, making it impossible for him to respect "Italian" food there.

Bringhurst's meats in Tansboro

I had read an article about this place in the local paper and when I asked around I had 2 friends who reccomended it. Genuine butcher (does their own slaughtering), their own smoked meats and reasonabley priced. I went yesterday and though it is out of the way-near Winslow NJ- it was as promised. I went in hungry. I came out with sirloin steaks, brisket, tri-tip roasts, 5 kinds of sausage, 3 kinds of bacon and goat stew meat. I grilled the brisket and sirloin for dinner-right up there with the best I have had. I grabbed some of their bacon ends (at about 1.40 a lb) and cooked them up, adding some vegetable soup at the end. Wow-great bacon. Right now I am eating a grilled kielbasa-flat out the best I ever had-I am not generally a fan but it was just there looking at me. For dinner tonight-bean soup with their kielbasa and bacon. Oh yeah-I had the breakfsat sausage for breakfast and it was good too, though not spactacular. If you are close it is definitely worth it. It's on the way to the shore and I think summer weekends must be packed in there. Sausage at every meal-maybe I should invest in my own defibrillator.

Gallos is on Chapel Ave and Kings Highway-you need to go North 1 more light and make a left on Church Rd-It is in the first strip mall on the right-about 3/4 mi from kings highway.

Oasis in Cherry Hill

I saw the old postings for Oasis and I think they needed an update. The restaurant added an entire dining room-essentially tripling in size. This has the more traditional couches and low tables. It's beautiful but the new cash register area is awkward-just doesn't fit in. The food is still excellent-I am a big believer in the Hommus supreme (with the foul moudamas on top) and the lamb cigars for appetizers, the cous cous with vegetables and the mint tea are excellent. My whole family loves the soups-my wife demands the chicken soup when she is sick. I usually miss the main dishes-I get a sandwich and all my appetizers. The few times I have had them they were great. The service is a bit hard to flag down but it's all one family. They also added a belly dancer-friday or saturday. I have to start trying some new stuff there too. Some of the sandwiches are a bit odd-Chicken Angelo Cataldi-hmmmmmmm-sounds moroccan. Still reliably great.

Thai food in South Jersey

Singapore Malaysian on Rt 73 is great-even though they dabble in sushi that is also good-it is in a strip mall across from Cracker Barrel. It only has about 8 tables. There is also a Thai restaurant in Cherry Hill on Rt 38 in the strip mall next to the closed Lonestar-I had appetizers there this week that were good but it was my first visit. The dining room was beautiful.

Yuma-great delivery on a new delivery?

I haven't been to Yuma in 15 years. My college roommate and his wife just had a new baby and I would like to send some food over to the house. I have a reputation for good food so I want to send something good if I can. They are both Italian from Northern NJ-anything there to remind them of old home? Thanks
I was an old poster on the site before the new format-it sure is sweet.
